They brought the car to me to test drive. After that they picked it back up to get a new windshield as it had a crack and detailed it. Brought it back down and it was perfect. More

BMW of Loveland responded

Thank you for your feedback. After your purchase, a concern with the Active Cruise Control system was identified and traced to prior front-end damage. While we explored available repair options, we were not confident the issue could be fully resolved. In an effort to make things right, we provided full purchase-price trade value toward another BMW in our inventory, an option you chose to move forward with. While this was an unfortunate situation, we believe our team acted transparently, communicated openly throughout the process, and worked hard to provide a fair resolution!

Thank you for sharing your perspective. We understand that you are unhappy with the outcome and appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns. At the time of purchase, the X7 was sold as-is, and you were aware of the existing bumper damage when you accepted delivery of the vehicle. Despite the vehicle being sold as-is, we still made every effort to assist you when concerns arose after your purchase. As part of those discussions, Greg offered an option in which we both would participate in the repair of the X7, recognizing that some of the repair costs extended beyond the bumper damage that was disclosed and accepted at the time of sale. You declined that option, so Greg worked to present alternative solutions. We had other X7 models available in inventory that could have been considered; however, you chose to pursue the X3 as the vehicle you were interested in purchasing. After reviewing the options presented, you elected to move forward with the X3 transaction, and we provided the full purchase price of the X7 as trade value toward that vehicle. We certainly understand that the X3 was different from the X7 you originally purchased and that it may not have been your ideal outcome. However, our team worked in good faith to provide multiple options and ultimately supported the solution that you selected. While we are sorry that you do not view the resolution as fair, we believe we made a significant effort to assist beyond our obligations under an as-is sale and to help you move into another vehicle of your choosing. We do greatly appreciate your business and wish you the very best.

That was not a fair resolution. I did not come to buy an X3. I chose an X7 for a reason. The replacement vehicle was a smaller model, not equipped the way I wanted, and I still paid significantly more than I believe was fair. I accepted it only because I felt I had no reasonable alternative. I appreciate that the dealership worked with me, but calling this a "fair resolution" does not reflect my experience. A fair resolution would have been repairing the X7 you sold me or making me financially whole without requiring me to compromise on the vehicle I originally purchased.

I disagree with how the situation has been presented. I purchased the X7 after being told the warning was not serious, and I returned it immediately when the warning came back. I have now filed formal complaints with BMW North America Customer Relations, the Colorado Auto Industry Division, the Colorado Attorney General, and the Better Business Bureau. I have also posted a one star Google review describing my experience. I still hope BMW of Loveland will reconsider and offer a truly fair resolution.
