Second visit for the same problem and I’ve been advised that I’ll need to make a third visit for a problem that should have been taken care on 1st visit and most certainly taken care of by a 2nd visit. Early September I took my vehicle, 2025 Toyota 4 Runner in for a terrible loud squeak/squeal coming from the front of that vehicle, when backing, while braking. I was advised that a problem was not heard or replicated. I was advised that if the loud squeak/squeal presented itself again, I should return for the 5000 service and new brake parts would be installed at no charge. Later on after a customer survey was completed by me, I was contacted by the service dept customer service rep. When I explained the situation to her she advised that they had completely “dropped the ball” and hoped that I would give them another chance. The brake noise got worse and louder and I had to make another appointment to have them repaired/replaced. I then contacted the service department Customer service rep to advise her I would be in on October 1st @ 7am.to have the vehicle looked at again. I also sent her a sound recording of the brake noise. She advised that she would be in contact with the service manager and she would also check in with me once she got into work on the 1st. She in fact never made contacted while I was at the dealership as she stated she would. When I arrived back at the dealership I again explained what I was there for and I was told the needed service would take between 1 and 1 1/2 hours. At approximately 9am I was advised that my vehicle indeed did have a problem, as described in TSB 0046-25, that had been sent to all Toyota Dealerships on July 25th, 2025. This information I found by my own research and was not advised by anyone of this TSB until I brought it to their attention. They advised that I was correct with this information and told me that I would be contacted once all the needed parts were received. I asked why I was not made aware of this situation when I first brought in my vehicle? I was advised that they could not do anything until the customer complain was verified, which I was told it was not. I find this strange due to the fact that the dealership was aware of TSB 0046-25 which indicated exactly what the problem was and how to fix it. Did the dealership think that I had something to gain by fabricating this complaint about the brakes. That I was lying? I would have thought the prudent and responsible action would have been to advise me of the TSB and if replacement parts were needed and order them at that time. If this is such a wide spread issue, would dealerships stock up on the needed parts? I mean, they were aware of this issue since late July. I then spoke with my salesperson and he stated that the Customer Service Rep for the whole dealership would call me about the situation. Later in the day, “Gay” did call me and I explained everything to her. She advised that a lot of vehicles are waiting on warranty parts that they are back ordered. I explained again about the wasted trips to the dealership and that a least one more would be needed Gay advised that she was very sorry, but never answered my question. She did state that she would call around to see if the parts could be obtained soon and she would call me back in a couple of days. Today makes 4 days since that conversation and I’ve heard nothing back. My sales salesperson was great. Customer service, not so much. Hoping this trend will change. As of now, no glowing recommendations from me. Mlb More
