Three things are essential to a great buying experience in life. First, this dealership had a Toyota, the 2019 RAV 4 in my case; that I liked; second, they understood that they had to give me their best offer the first time we met, not later; and third; they needed to treat me, and my many questions,with a moderation of respect. Eric was quick to respond to my email and soft on the sale!! Once Eric helped with the price our experience took off when he introduced us to Ed Hayes. Ed became the icing on the cake. Endearingly called "The Professor" Ed came with us on a test drive and insisted we get on the highway so he could show the car off. He so wanted us to experience the incredible power of this car as well as its numerous safety features. But what was so impressive was Ed's thorough knowledge of the car including all the dashboard 's icons and the numerous computer displays. Easy as a Summer breeze! Our 2010 Rav-4 was getting on in years (actually we were and wanted something more comfortable). I was at Toyota of Braintree recently for routine mai Our 2010 Rav-4 was getting on in years (actually we were and wanted something more comfortable). I was at Toyota of Braintree recently for routine maintenance and checked out the new Rav and Highlander. Once I sat in the Highlander I was hooked. My wife has wanted one for ages too. Off we went on Monday to check the cars out. Pretty quickly we knew that the Highlander was what we would like. Ed Hayes took us up to the inside garage where we were able to see actual cars and make a choice. He brought it out and we took it on a 10 mile ride down the highway and back along the local roads. This pretty much convinced us that we had found our new car. Back at the dealership we discussed pricing and other logistics. As much as they wanted to sell the car right away they respected our decision to "Sleep" on it. After all, this car was going to cost more than our house did back in the 70's! Tuesday morning we decided that this was the car for certain and returned to close the deal. Ed was so good helping us to strike the best deal and explaining clearly how the pricing works. After agreeing on the price we wanted to add a remote starter and body side moldings to the car. They were able to get this done and deliver the car 2 days later. As much as I'm not a fan of extended warranties, we did opt to add the extra coverage for 10 years. The Rav-4 never had any breakdowns however the Highlander is loaded with electronics and computers and sensors and having worked 40 years in the tech field I know what can happen as the car ages. It broke down to about $25 a week-many people spend this at Dunkies! The car was ready as promised and Ed spent a lot of time with us to make sure we got as much info as possible to get safely on our way. The books for the car are like serial novel but Ed said to not be shy about calling or stopping by with any questions. The car is wicked awesome! The XLE model comes with so many standard features. We are looking forward to road trips to Virginia to see our great grandchildren as well as regional travel and trips to the store. The Rav-4 is going to our daughter for use by our grand daughters for school. It will probably be going strong another 10 years.
