My entire day was wasted. I told the service person when I called what was wrong. After waiting a couple of hours they finally came out and told me that they couldnt weld the p I told the service person when I called what was wrong. After waiting a couple of hours they finally came out and told me that they couldnt weld the part, but they could order me a whole new piece for a few hundred dollars. I took it down the street and had it fixed for a few dollars. More

They Don’t Know how to fix their own cars Every time I bring my Sonata in to this HYUNDAI dealership, some problem is discovered that there seems to be no fix for even though their company is Every time I bring my Sonata in to this HYUNDAI dealership, some problem is discovered that there seems to be no fix for even though their company is the one that literally built the car. This time I bring my car in for a recall and they ask to do the inspection/emissions (fair enough). They do the emissions test, get through most of the safety check and suddenly find out my backup lights don’t work. News to me but whatever. They then took several days to figure out it was the wiring that connects the lights in the rear to the rest of the car that are somehow severed due to some terrible mounting job where the trunk closes. They couldn’t fix it and instead stated i would need to likely pay $3000+ to replace all the wiring or something to that effect. Basically what they were telling me was that my 2011 Sonata with 70,000 miles is totaled because of a faulty wiring job (that they did to begin with). I would never recommend ever taking your car here unless it’s for a recall (which is why mine was in). This car is a lemon and this dealership is unhelpful in almost all regards. Their best recommendation was to take my car someone else. That’s unacceptable. I dropped the car off on a Friday evening for Saturday morning service and due to technicians or service managers not being available I didn’t get my car back till Tuesday night. And it was not even fixed. You can’t fix your own car’s severed wires in the trunk? why? I’d love to speak with someone higher up in management than the service managers on this but I won’t hold my breath. More
