Beware of Poor Quality in Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) Vehicles at Colonial Cadillac of Woburn I had a deeply disappointing experience purchasing a Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) 2022 Cadillac Escalade from Vehicles at Colonial Cadillac of Woburn I had a deeply disappointing experience purchasing a Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) 2022 Cadillac Escalade from Colonial Cadillac of Woburn. I trusted the dealership and Cadillac’s CPO program, but the entire process left me frustrated and out of pocket. Since I live in New Jersey, I completed the entire transaction online after being assured by the salesperson, Dave Robinson, that the vehicle was in "perfect condition with no signs of wear or damage." Relying on the dealership’s claims and Cadillac’s advertised 172-point CPO inspection, I proceeded without an in-person inspection. Unfortunately, when I picked up the vehicle, I discovered several glaring issues: Cracked side mirror caps and broken mirror housing. Damaged door weather strips. Discrepancies in the odometer reading: the vehicle was advertised with 41,164 miles, the paperwork listed 42,302, and the odometer showed 42,370 miles. Multiple other issues which I was able to get fixed under warranty. Thanks to Cadillac of Mahwah, NJ! When I contacted the dealership about the cracked mirror housing and other damages, they dismissed my concerns by saying, "Even though the vehicle is certified, the vehicle is not brand new, so it will have some bumps and bruises." I cannot understand how such damage can be written off as "bumps and bruises" on a CPO vehicle, which is supposed to meet strict quality standards. Additionally, the dealership failed to properly detail the vehicle. The interior was filthy and clearly needed a thorough cleaning before delivery. The front windshield is full of small chips, causing visibility issues in direct sunlight, which is both unsafe and for a vehicle that is marketed as certified, this lack of attention to detail is unacceptable. Despite my attempts to resolve these issues with the dealership, they refused to take responsibility. I escalated the matter to Cadillac Customer Support, but even they failed to provide a satisfactory resolution. I requested the 172-point inspection report several times but never received it. In the end, I had to spend over $1,500 to repair these issues myself and weeks dealing with warranty-related concerns. This experience reflects a serious lack of oversight in Cadillac’s CPO program and the dealership’s failure to uphold their promises. If you’re considering buying a CPO vehicle from this dealership, exercise extreme caution. Inspect the vehicle thoroughly yourself and do not rely on their assurances or Cadillac’s certification. My experience was frustrating, costly, and fell far short of what Cadillac and Colonial Cadillac of Woburn claim to offer. — A disappointed and frustrated customer. More
