He was so different from every other salesman I encountered at other dealerships; knowledgeable, patient and did not, even once, try to pressure me into a sale. Jenkins Hyundai of Jacksonville Tried to sell me a Hyundai Tucson SEL advertised for 25,175 for 37,452.62. Is Bait and Switch Illegal? I was suckered into their internet advertisement: https://www.jenkinshyundaiofjacksonville.com/all-inventory/index.htm?bodyStyle=SUV&compositeType=new&make=Hyundai&model=Tucson&year=2025&sortBy=internetPrice%20asc I went there to look at the Hyundai Tucson SEL for 25175.00 They said they would bring one of them up front for my test drive. After 20 minutes they told me they couldn’t find one for me to test drive. They were all “Other Places” Then they told me that if I would agree to their prices they “might be able to find one for my test drive” I said sure, show me the cost so I could test drive a car. Here is what they gave me. Market value selling price. 33,220.00 Discount 6,885.00 Adjusted price 26,335.00 JPP 2863.00 Dealer Installed Options. 3787.00 Total Purchase 32935.00 Taxable fees Estimated 455.50 Pre Delivery Service Fee 1199.00 Tax 2150.37 Non Tax Fees 712.75 Balance 37,452.62 37,452.62 for a car advertised at 25,175.00 that they wouldn’t even let me test drive until I agreed to their Numbers. I asked what the JPP fee was and they told me they needed to add a warranty to the 100K warranty that Hyundai provided because the Hyundai Tucson needed it. I asked about the Dealer installed options for a car they hadn’t showed me, and they told me that was required because the Tacoma SEL’s weren’t equipped with what was needed, I immediately went to Hanania’s in Jacksonville. I test dove several Hyundai Tucson SEL’s and picked out the one I wanted For A Great Price! No “JPP” No “Dealer Installed options” Hyundai Motor Corporation should do better with their dealerships.
