I had a 2:00 pm apt. to address a lit check engine light. on my 2018 Sonata that I bought from you. As you know, this car has one of the faulty engines so I was anxious t to address a lit check engine light. on my 2018 Sonata that I bought from you. As you know, this car has one of the faulty engines so I was anxious to get it checked out. After nearly an hour and a half I went to see what was going on. To my surprise, my car was still sitting outside. So they hurriedly got it in. After a while, a new advisor informed me that it needed a thermostat and it would cost over $700. Wow! I declined. Then she informed me that I owed over $200 just for the diagnosis. Now I know things have gone up, but $700+ for a thermostat, and over $200 to plug in the computer and get a reading? Incidentally, the light has gone off and I am closely watching the temperature gauge. So did it need it or not? And isn't the engine covered under the extended warranty? More
