Wow, talk about living up to the cliché of the dishonest - HoustonWeHaveAProblem
Wow, talk about living up to the cliché of the dishonest used car dealership—Genesis West Houston sure didn’t disappoint in that regard. I could go into the whole ordeal, but let me just summarize:
* I was purchasing the car remotely and specifically asked the salesperson to ensure any issues with the vehicle were fully resolved.
* He provided a repair order, indicating everything was supposedly in great condition.
* My spouse picked up the car, and just a few miles down the road, noticed a chip in the windshield. She immediately called the salesperson to point it out.
* His response? "Well, it’s a used car."
* My spouse reminded him that he assured us everything was fine.
* He then claimed, "That might have happened after you left."
* My spouse rightly pointed out that it clearly hadn’t.
* I reached out to the salesperson, sales manager, their concierge, and the general manager. Only one person got back to me, saying they’d look into it, and then—radio silence.
* I escalated the issue to Genesis corporate, but they were no help.
* Two months later, the General Sales Manager called, admitting they knew about the chip and claimed they did their best to fix it.
* When I asked if they’d say the same if there was an issue with the axle that they couldn’t fully resolve, he dodged the question.
Bottom line: if you’re considering buying a car from here, proceed with extreme caution. They’re slippery, less than honest, and working with them was far from pleasant.
