This correspondence is intended to formally document serious concerns regarding my recent service visit and the explanations subsequently provided by your team. The suggestion that your facility’s status as a non‑Porsche service center could justify the outcome of this visit is not acceptable. The service requested was a routine oil change—a fundamental maintenance procedure that any properly equipped automotive service facility can perform when the appropriate parts are available. The make of the vehicle was not a limiting factor, nor was technical capability the issue. The failures in this instance were procedural and operational in nature, specifically: inadequate communication, inaccurate or unrealistic service time expectations, and a clear lack of consideration for the customer’s time. These are baseline customer service standards that apply universally, regardless of manufacturer affiliation. Had transparent communication and accurate timelines been provided at the outset, the situation would have been avoided entirely. Attempting to justify the experience after the fact by referencing facility limitations does not address the actual deficiency, which was a breakdown in customer service execution for a straightforward service request. I also feel compelled to note a concerning perception arising from this experience. Given that this service was performed under a prepaid maintenance program sold by Group 1, it reasonably appears that the low‑margin nature of the work may have influenced the level of attention and priority it received. If so, this represents a misalignment between sales commitments and service‑department execution. Even within prepaid maintenance frameworks, there are appropriate opportunities for customer engagement, inspection transparency, and value‑based upselling that were not pursued. Rather than relying on defensible explanations after service failures occur, I strongly urge a review of internal training, accountability, and service advisory standards to ensure that all customers—regardless of service type or margin profile—receive consistent, professional treatment. This letter is provided to ensure these concerns are acknowledged and reviewed at the executive level. I expect this matter to receive appropriate attention and that corrective actions will be taken to prevent similar occurrences in the future. I trust your organization will recognize the seriousness of these issues and respond accordingly.
