After having had a disappointing experience at a different car dealer, we headed to Napleton with low expectations. Our salesman Justin greeted us and showed us to a car we requested to see. He could not have been more helpful and personable. It ended up being a rather enjoyable experience. He was knowledgeable and very kind. He put no pressure on us whatsoever and answered all of our questions with ease. We transitioned to the financial office to meet with Alex. Although it's always painful to spend large amounts of money, the transaction went smoothly. It was evident Alex was knowledgeable and fair. Both gentlemen also stayed an hour past closing time to help us get the deal done. It was a positive experience and I would definitely recommend buying a car from Justin. Next time I am in the market, I will definitely go back to him.

What a great experience at Laura! Started back in late September when I was connected with Jacob Knapp, Sales Advisor. He and I started looking at trucks in stock and I told him I would be ready to buy in early November. Did not deter Jacob, he stayed in touch, sending me trucks as they arrived, and overall just contacted on my next move. Fantastic! Once we settled on my trade, I selected at AT4X AEV that was in stock and I cannot even begin to do justice to how easy things went from there. From the constant communication on the deal, the arrival greeting to the most impressive dealership operation I have ever witnessed, to meeting Jacob and his professionalism, to Cory in Finance who knocked it out the park in under 10 minutes, and wrapped it up with my new ride. I drove 9 hours for this experience, and I'd do it again and again! Cannot stress enough how good of a job Jacob Knapp did on my deal! Bought a used Nissan Frontier, they put a new battery in. Found out later it was the wrong one, and they used electric tape instead of replacing a bad coroded cable. Paperwork screwed up, they didn't properly outline my trade in for the title application. Lost credit for my trade with Missouri sales tax. Only 1 key, waited until delivery to tell me. Bought the truck with cash, and they were rude about that. They tried to make me pay my Missouri sales tax upfront, which I shouldn't have to when I don't have a loan. Waited FOREVER for paperwork, and then they tried to cram a warranty on me that was almost as much as the truck I bought. The whole place seemed slimy. And they have sales reps that are barely out of high school! One wonders why they can't get seasoned professionals in the car biz to work here. My advice... stay far, far away. They crammed Nitrofill add on to the price, and the price sheet as covered by the sales manager was confusing as could be. They try to confuse you, hide in extras that aren't shown on the website, and then do everything possible to slam warranties and more add ons in the finance office. BTW, the sales girl, Addison was nice. Can't say the same for the others who work there and run the place.

Bought a 2018 Ford F-150 from Kunes CJRD on 9/16/23 with 14,000 miles, the truck was delivered to my house that Saturday. The following morning I discovered a serious driveline vibration, and brought the truck to our local Firestone dealer the following Monday to have the tires rotated and balanced, which was unsuccessful. In turn I brought the truck to Ford for a full inspection, where the following issues had been discovered: - Tires unevenly worn beyond ability to balance - needed replacement - Front pinion seal is leaking (would have been caught by any visual inspection) - Air charge tube is leaking oil (Powerstroke) and must be replaced - Engine had been replaced at 11,900 miles, no mention in the condition report or Carfax Sales Manager Joe has told me the dealership does not intend to reimburse me despite his promises to "make things right," and also despite my buying the dealership's extended warranty, which is not worth the paper its written on. My words to the wise, avoid buying a vehicle from this dealership. If you do, insist on inspection of the vehicle by an outside party, they clearly do not inspect or recondition used cars and trucks.

Bailin is AWESOME!! Super informative and his customer service and follow up/follow through is second to none! I wanted a very specific vehicle with specific bells and whistles; though it was not on their lot, he quickly found it for me, and had it brought to the dealership! Dillon in finance is AWESOME (don't be fooled, he loves to smile and laugh when business is concluded!). I dealt directly with these two guys. Everyone at the dealership is very friendly and will have a conversation with you. I feel safe and will happily work with Kunes, Mt. Carroll, in the future! Stop in and give Buddy, the dealership mascot, a scratch on the head!

I took my 2019 Colorado to Serra GMC for an oil change that took two hours and also had the cabin filter replace big mistake. Slowest service I have ever seen and staff was rude as xxxx. I asked you the owner of Serra and they told me they had no clue who they were working for they lied to me but after demanding I was given a name of Ben. Called spoke with a very nice lady she took all my information and number so Ben could call me back. I strongly suggest you avoid Serra GMC service unless you enjoy throwing hard earned money away for BAD service, and employees that will bold face lie to your face. I will go back to Sullivan Park Hill from now on. No one wanted to be honest so I can only image how they are not honest when it comes to your vehicle and doing work that is. not needed to make a bigger commission. I also asked two sales people they were also rude as the others and would not give me the owners name. The should remove the picture of Mr Serra on the wall they are all making him look really bad. Lets see if I get a call back.

Went in to possibly purchase a truck that was well over ALL of the websites that provide vehicle values. Was able to get them down a measly $1,400 which was closer to the value but still just a little high. Decided that since the truck had a decent carfax and the people were friendly that I'd possibly give it a shot. Until I noticed their fees. I noticed a $699 "non-negotiable" Auffenberg Advantage markup. When asked, I was told that it was non-negotiable and every vehicle sale has this. I then asked what in the world do I get as a buyer? I was informed it was lifetime paint protection, lifetime seat and fabric protection that if I got in with my key in my pocket and damaged the seat it would be covered. YEA RIGHT! I was also told that it included the flashing third brake light system called Pulse. I then stated, well I don't care about any of that. So you guys are installing a flashing third brake light that mind you has NO data whatsoever that it reduces rear end collisions on every vehicle out here including new and marking up your vehicles $699? I was informed that on the new inventory it comes pre-installed by the manufacturer of the car. Complete xx! I can promise you that GM is not installing that on every car. Side note on this, BE CAREFUL about that third brake light. Be sure to read your warranty. Most warranties will say something about installing any parts on the vehicle that are not OEM will void your warranty. I then notice a $395 "documentation fee"... That's a separate fee from the electronic filing fees that the state of Illinois charges them for titles and license. I just had this explained by a dealer whom I fully trust that they get charged around $100 from the state since they're filing on behalf of the state. So that price I mentioned earlier that they came down, shot right back up with their stupid fees and "Auffenberg Advantage" the whole deal felt very loan sharky and greedy. This is more directed toward the salesman himself but he had no idea what he's talking about when it came to vehicle specifics. Anyhow, in my opinion horrible experience, horrible dealership will never be back. I will go somewhere else every time. Buyers please beware, especially about the warranty situation, that's half the reason to buy a new car.
