After shopping around other car dealers in the area, it was the right decision to come back to Coggin Deland Honda- where I bought my first brand new car almost 10 years ago, and this time around the process was even better and easier! Sales rep Alan Ragunt was exceptional, very layback, calm, detailed, providing information and knowledgeable about cars! We got there 1 hr before closing hrs, and Alan really took his time, without rushing us throughout the entire process. George Ghobrial took over the financial aspect, was very detailed, and patient answering our questions, with a very unique and friendly personality! Santiago was also very helpful, making sure they lock in the car that we wanted and to be available for us the next day guaranteed! Overall, this car sale experience has been the most smooth, easy transaction we’ve ever made, definitely felt treated like Home. I’m really happy with my new car, thank you Coggin Deland !!

My 2012 Honda Accord was towed to this location on Oct 31 per the advice of a technician due to an alternator problem. I was able to pick it up on November 4. Garrett Thomas was my service advisor and was great to work with. The only problem I had was Honda Service insistence that I purchase a new battery from Honda. I explained that my battery was only 14 months old and that I had a warranty on it so of course I wanted to take it to the service place that I had the warranty with. I did this same day I picked up my Honda. The battery tested fine so I do not need a new battery. So I am sure glad I didn’t spend another $252.00 for a battery. Yes it makes sense that my battery tested low with an alternator issue. Honda service should have retested the battery after the alternator was replaced. Garrett understood my situation and I do not blame him. I don’t like or appreciate Honda trying to force me to replace the battery.

Had a great experience with their service department. We were in town from out-of-state visiting our sailor and when the TPMS indicator light came on abruptly. They offered to visually inspect the tires for damage, checked and topped off the tire pressure and even ran it through a wash. No repair was needed and they were able to get us in and out in under 30 minutes and back on our way. Everyone we spoke to was friendly and professional.

I DECIDED TO TAKE A CHANCE AND SEE IF MAYBE AN EAST COAST DEALER MIGHT HAVE THE PART JUST LAYING AROUND. FIRST PLACE I CALLED WAS, TAMPA HONDA. LOW AND BEHOLD THE PARTS PERSON (STEVE ) FOUND EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR, WITHIN 5 MIN. I WOULD LIKE TO COMMEND , STEVE , FOR HIS ASSISTANCE.

THIS DEALERSHIP/SERVICE DEPARTMENT IS A SCAM!!! I went in for a tire rotation which should have taken no longer than an hour. I waited 3.5 - 4 hours in the waiting area to get my car back. They said I needed brake pads on the front & rear and that it's in the "red" and I only had 3mm left of wear on them now. I declined service as it would have cost me at least $800 to have them fix it. I was going to price out my options first. I had also waited long enough and my day was already wasted. I had other errands that needed to be done. I found a mechanic who could do the brake pad replacement cheaper and took it in the following week to have done. He looked over the car and said the brake pads looked brand new and there wasn't much wear to them. He held up the new brake pad next to the old to show us the comparison and he was right, barely an wear at all. This mechanic also used to work at Gary Smith Honda and confirmed that they will try and sell you anything your car doesn't need just to gain a profit. If you go in for one issue they will try and upsell something else to get more money out of you. They will always try and sell you a fluids flush/refill on all fluids, spark plug replacements, brake pad replacements, & air filters before your car even enters the service bay and put on the lift. Gary Smith Honda doesn't care about anything other than making a profit and getting a large bonus check at the end of the year. Their Customer Service is greatly lacking. I am concerned that they aren't even looking over the car for legit needs. If they give you a list of services your car "needs" get a second opinion always! You are probably getting scammed as well!
