We were there for 25 minutes and not one person acknowledged us or asked if they could help us. I saw a couple of sales people talking at another door and another walking around. I felt like they thought we were not worth their time. I'll drive to Milwaukee to look at the CR-V. More
This review relates to Zimbrick Honda's sales showroom only, not Zimbrick Honda's vehicle service/maintenance divisions. After taking a test drive and emailing back and forth with a Zimbrick Honda sale only, not Zimbrick Honda's vehicle service/maintenance divisions. After taking a test drive and emailing back and forth with a Zimbrick Honda sales consultant, I made an appointment to visit Zimbrick Honda on January 5th. I did so with the intent to lease a 2012 Honda Pilot EX-L. While meeting with the Zimbrick Honda sales consultant, I was informed for the first time that Zimbrick Honda did not have a 2012 Pilot EX-L on their lot. Furthermore, I was informed that Zimbrick would not receive the color vehicle I wanted until late February or early March from Honda manufacturing. When I asked the sales consultant if Zimbrick could procure the car faster via a dealer trade, he stated that Zimbrick prefers not to obtain vehicles for customers via a dealer trade (probably because Zimbrick has to pay something to the other dealership, a fee Zimbrick could avoid by securing the vehicle directly from Honda Manufacturing). Nothing wrong with that practice if waiting works for the customer. I, however, needed the vehicle asap. Signing a lease contract on January 5th, but not receiving my vehicle until late February or early March also made no sense given that Honda money factor rates and residual values could be reset prior to the delivery of the vehicle, possibly resulting in a lower lease cost. Strike two occurred when the Zimbrick sales consultant and Sales Manager Peter Filandrinos did not provide me with a lease quote using the lowest available Honda money factor. I understand that customers may qualify for different money factor rates based on their individual credit histories. That said, Zimbrick Honda had not checked my credit history, and had no idea what money factor rate I would qualify for while I was at the dealership. Zimbrick knew I was interested in the lowest available money factor because I had already expressed my displeasure that the January money factor rate had increased significantly above the December 2011 money factor rate (from .00061 in December 11' to Zimbrick's stated .00075 on January 5th, 2012), which had been available six days prior. (Said money factor rates are discretionary, set by Honda based on the supply and demand for vehicles and Honda's sales targets. The money factor rates are not directly indexed to interest rates). When I complained that the monthly lease payment jumped significantly because of the money factor rate increase, Sales Manager Filandrinos dismissively stated that said rate was dictated by Honda, was the lowest money factor rate available via Honda, and could not be altered by Zimbrick. When I requested that Zimbrick adjust the negotiated sales price or some other lease variable to produce the same monthly lease payment that was available only six days earlier, Filandrinos got up and walked away from the table and did not return. At that point, negotiations with Zimbrick were over and I returned to my office. I contacted several Milwaukee area Honda dealers and learned that a 0.00065 money factor rate was currently available from Honda. Furthermore, the 0.00065 money factor rate included Honda making the first months lease payment, 35 customer payments, and zero due at signing (No acquisition fee due, title fee due, licensing fee due, documentation fee due, nothing!). Somewhat miffed that Zimbrick did not share the lower money factor rate with me, I sent notice of the available rate to the Zimbrick sales consultant I had met with, who forwarded my email to Sales Manager Filandrinos. Filandrinos had the nerve to to send me an email attachment from Honda that only addressed the 0.00075 money factor rate (I assume Honda has separate term sheets for the various money factor rates available at any given time and Filandrinos just attached the 0.00075 money factor term sheet). Filandrinos continued to insist that the 0.00075 money factor rate was the only available money factor rate from Honda and accused accused other dealers of trying to pull a fast one. Only after I sent a reply email with additional evidence of the 0.00065 money factor availability did Filandrinos admit that said money factor rate was available. Filandrinos then replied that he assumed I would not be interested in a money factor rate that resulted in 35 vs. 36 lease payments because the monthly payments would increase. Well, I continued to negotiate lease terms with Milwaukee and Janesville area Honda dealers and secured the exact 2012 Honda Pilot EX-L I was seeking on January 18th from David Hobbs Honda. My 35 payment zero down lease via David Hobbs results in a significantly lower lease cost than the best monthly payments quoted by Zimbrick, under their 0.00075 36 payment scenario and/or their 0.00065 35 payment scenario. By going with David Hobbs Honda's 35 payment Sign and Drive lease terms, I will save $1,050 versus leasing the vehicle via Zimbrick's lowest lease cost offer. Apparently, the fact that there are five Honda dealers in the Milwaukee are versus one Honda dealer in all of Dane County, WI necessitates that Milwaukee area dealers provide a much better customer service sales experience than Zimbrick Honda. On the flip side, I have nothing but good things to say about Zimbrick Honda's vehicle maintenance/service division. More
We've bought cars from Zimbrick since 1994 and stayed with them because of outstanding sales and service integrity and excellence. Sales and service staff stick to the facts and avoid any and all high-p with them because of outstanding sales and service integrity and excellence. Sales and service staff stick to the facts and avoid any and all high-pressure tactics. They definitely operate by the "what you see is what you get" philosophy. The net result is that the customer can trust what the staff say. We would never consider buying a car from any other dealer. More
I've used Zimbrick for service since I bought my 1999 Honda Accord new in 2000. When I take my car in for service, I always know I'm going to get first rate care and that I'm not going to be sold things Honda Accord new in 2000. When I take my car in for service, I always know I'm going to get first rate care and that I'm not going to be sold things or services I don't need. I'm always given several options when problems arise, and am told what needs to be taken care of immediately and what can be put off for awhile - essential for me as a Wisconsin State employee! I always appreciate Tom's honesty and willingness to help me at any time. I've even called him at least twice for advice when I was out of town and some problem with the car arose. He was always there with helpful advice, saving me money and getting me home - even when Zimbrick wasn't ultimately getting the business. This, of course, keeps me coming back to Tom Strahota and Zimbrick Honda. At 183,000 mi and still going strong!! More

My initial contact with Rob was very good. He was helpful with giving me information on pricing to have my 2004 Elantra serviced. Along with other items, I requested pricing to have the brakes replaced. He s with giving me information on pricing to have my 2004 Elantra serviced. Along with other items, I requested pricing to have the brakes replaced. He stated "$425 for the front and back". After noting all the prices and asking him if all items could be completed by the following Friday, he stated yes, I just needed to schedule my appointment a few days in advance. The next day I called back and made the appointment for the following Friday (a few days in advance). The main reason I choose them to do the work was because ALL work needed to be completed by that Friday and I was assured it would be. Approx. 3 hours after dropping my car off to be serviced, I received a call from Rob letting me know that both the front and back brakes indeed needed to be replaced (rotors and pads)the price would be $825.00! Upon questioning him regarding the price as quoted "$425 for the front and back" I was told, "no, it is $425 for the front and another $425 for the back! HOW MISLEADING IS THAT? I told him I would need to contact my husband and would get back to him. After a fair amount of phone tags , we finally made contact again at around 1pm and I told him to just grind the rotors and put pads on the front (they also had to replace the timing belt yet). At 4:35pm I received a call from Rob that they were done servicing the car but were unable to get to the brakes!! I had to locate another service company that could service my car before Sunday! I was able to find a company to service the car on Saturday. You can imagine my surprise when I was quoted approx. $380 to have both the front AND the bake breaks repaired! They also told me that the calibers in the back needed to be replaced. How can a Hyundai service garage not be able to identify this issue during a brake inspection??!! They never said one word about the calibers! I rated the quality of work as OK as I passed the car on to my son that Sunday and haven't heard of any issues. I rated the Friendliness as GOOD because Rob come across as friendly initially until I realized he was fake. In addition, my husband phoned the service dept. management team the following Monday and left phone messages, but after almost two weeks, has not received a return call from anyone! More
Zimbrick Rocks!! Tom explained what needed to be done in very short manner. After the repairs where completed he went over the sheet item by item. The cost comparable to the other places in town. I purchased my 2005 Odyssey in October 2004 from Zimbrick. It has been serviced there ever since, with the exception of a new Honda battery in Baltimore while we were on vacation. The service has Zimbrick. It has been serviced there ever since, with the exception of a new Honda battery in Baltimore while we were on vacation. The service has always been excellent. At the last oil change they discovered a loose tie rod and it was replaced under my HondaCare policy. Also, it was raining that day and and they could not wash my car as they usually do so they gave me a token for a car wash at my connivence. Their Customer Service is exceptional. More
