This is the second new Subaru that we have purchased from Folger Subaru. Jim Gamble has been our salesman both times. He has been extremely accomodating with each purchase. When we expressed interest in the second new Subaru, Jim said he would deliver it to Weaverville NC for us, saving us a trip to Charlotte. We were getting ready to leave on a trip and Jim arrived on a Sunday morning, had all the paperwork done except for our signature, and got us on our way in a timely fashion. We have been very pleased with all Jim has done for us and would definetly recommend your dealership and Jim Gamble in particular. More

She made the difference between a happy customer and an IMMENSELY happy customer! I stopped by on my lunch hour, just to take a peak. Before I could get away, someone dragged me inside to meet Elizabeth. Within five minutes, she put me completely at ease. Together, we nailed down the specifications over an (admittedly long) lunch hour. That was a Friday. I would have been content to wait months for a factory order. But, by Monday, Elizabeth had the exact car on the lot and the papers were signed. My husband and I got a very good deal, especially since it included a custom leather makeover in my favorite color. But that was only the beginning… When plans fell through on the interior leather due to circumstances beyond her control, Elizabeth could have said "I'm sorry" and I would have understood. But instead, she called to say things were still on track, only through a different company they hadn't used before. She convinced her management to step outside the box just to keep one client happy. We had fun mulling over new color samples. She even had the company stop by to show me thread colors for the contrast stitching. Unbelievable service! Elizabeth cared about my car as if it were her own. Now I have a car that’s tailor-made for me. Elizabeth made it all possible. More
I had the very best experience with Crystal in the body shop. My sincere thanks to her and her staff for making my repairs to my car the best I have EVER had with a body shop. We purchased a new Subaru Outback from Jim Gamble the day after Easter. I went prepared to have to haggle over the price, but Jim's price offer was below what my Consumer Report's suggested price was. We wer after Easter. We were on a tight schedule that day and told Jim that we needed to be out of the dealership with the new car because we had to take my neice to the airport. Everything went smoothly except the car was not ready when we needed to leave. We told Jim we would have to come back and get the car after dropping my neice at the airport. We had only been away from the dealership a few minutes when Jim called and asked "would it help if I met you at the airport with the car"? I was very suprised that a salesman would even offer to save us the aggrevation of coming back to the dealership. He kept his word and was there waiting for us after we got away from the airport. He synced our phones with the bluetooth feature in the car because neither my husband or I are very knowlegable about that kind of thing. But the best thing I wanted to share with you about Jim was that he even drove from Charlotte to Weaverville on his day off to help us with the home-link feature. We couldn't get it to work with our garage door opener even after having read the instructions in the owner's manual. We were very frustrated so when Jim called to see how we liked the car, we told him we were not able to get the home-link feature to work. We also wanted to have the side moldings and wheel locks put on the car and Jim brought them with him and put them on in the driveway while he was here, saving us a trip to the dealership. He got the home-link to work in no time. He also synced our tablet with the car and spent a good deal of his time trying to find music I had downloaded onto the tablet. If in the future we decide to buy a new car, Folger Subaru will be where we buy and Jim will get the deal. I had my 2002 WRX serviced for a passenger side valve cover gasket that was slowly leaking, from the moment I first called i was treated with disrespect and attitude by the service advisor with sentences cover gasket that was slowly leaking, from the moment I first called i was treated with disrespect and attitude by the service advisor with sentences like "are you asking if we have the ABILITY to fix it, or if we have the time?". reluctantly I drove from mooresville to charlotte and sat at the dealer for 4 and a half hours while my car was being "repaired" i stated that i wanted all the parts and pieces associated with the gaskets on the top end, including cam seals, spark plug seals, bolt grommets, and the valve cover gasket. after the service was performed I was told if i still smelt oil or saw smoke that it was residual oil burning off. fair enough, i left and the car was fine for two weeks then began smoking much more than before. i picked the car up myself and found all the bolts on the valve cover that had been serviced backed out and completely loose. I had to look up torque specs and torque them myself. a few weeks after this, i was traveling down the freeway and the car began to flash the check engine light indicating misfire and bog down and not accelerate. when i was able to limp the car to a safe spot i opened the hood and saw the cylinder number 3 coil pack completely off the spark plug and resting on the frame stub (with no broken mounting tabs, appearing to also be caused by improper torque of the bolt). I called Folger subaru and informed them of this situation as well and Mike Melton was rude on the phone when i had asked him if there was any way to find out specs on the bolt (as it appeared to have come out of the coil). He finally agreed that he would call me back with more information. Over a week has passed by and i have still heard nothing back, I have called the dealership multiple times and left messages with no return. I had to get my car to Randy Marion Subaru in mooresville where the service manager Rob verified the issue and had to replace the coil pack as it had been damaged, upon working on my car, i was told that there is still a leak coming from the valve cover that would require redoing all of the work i originally paid over $400 for at Folger. So now after the initial $400+ at folger, and the $275 at Randy Marion that Mike Melton refused to offer any help with, I am out nearly $700 and still have the same issue I had before ever taking my car to Folger Subaru More
