In August my car was serviced at West Broad Honda. Because they noted during a previous visit that the battery was corroded, I verbally told the Service Advisor that the battery needed to be checked, Because they noted during a previous visit that the battery was corroded, I verbally told the Service Advisor that the battery needed to be checked, and it was included in a written list of things to check that I gave to the Service Advisor. The Service Advisor called me while the car was in the shop to tell me about services that were needed. I approved all the services he recommended. These did not include battery replacement. When I picked up the car, I asked again about the battery, and he stated it was ok. On September 21 my car would not start, forcing me to cancel my activities for that day and the following day. I called West Broad Honda, and their response was that they could not get my car in until October even though I am a regular customer there! I called CMA Colonial Honda, and they gave me my choice of appointments the following day even though I have never done business there before. On September 22 AAA came to my home, where the car was parked, and replaced the battery, after which the car started with no problem. When the Service Technician popped the hood, I could see that the battery was covered in corrosion. I will never go to West Broad Honda for service again and provide this as a warning to others who may need reliable service for their Honda vehicles. More
Overall the experience was very positive. My only comment is I did feel pressure to buy the Auto Armour Package.
