Good Morning James, When you state "They know how to extract money from you" - it is quite an irrational & contradicting statement that goes against your vehicles entire history with us. Most of ALL your repairs, apart from tire rotations & wiper blades, have been covered under warranty. In your most recent visit, we recommended to replace the Serpentine Belt - that of which was showing heavy signs of cracks/wear. You opted into replacement, the repairs were performed & a coupon was provided. We also found three out of four of your tires to be in need of replacement due to dry-rot/low tread - the right-rear tire was the only tire in good condition as it was replaced more recently - that of which we offered to bag up for you & have you bring home as a spare for the future. Since purchasing the vehicle in 2018 you have spent a total of $1,134.00 in the course of 5 years - that is $226.80 per year; a dollar amount that most would deem normal or even low in terms of upkeep with your vehicle. We apologize for any misunderstanding but we have created a strong reputation over the course of 30+ years for being honest, reliable and welcoming to all. We aim to be as competitive as we can with our pricing and do our best to lower costs for customers where we can. I left you a voicemail yesterday but have yet to hear back. Mr. Padilla, It is ironic you make these claims about us. Each & every other visit with us has been fully covered with no expense out of pocket to you. Though half our staff had no interaction with you, you chose to include & personally attack all of our characters. That is not a customer in which we will ever chose to have here. Regarding your appointment; this was our third-attempt to rid your vehicle of a reoccurring Check Engine Light - both attempts were covered through Warranty I might add. We decided it was best to reach out to the Engineers at Volkswagen for some further input into our investigations. What THEY recommended & in which we absolutely agreed was in need of performing; was a manual decarb of the intake valves. The reason be is due to the multiple, sporadic misfires at idle. Unfortunately, per Volkswagens Guidelines, a manual decarb of intake valves is NOT a covered component. Your issue lies with Volkswagen, not Wellesley Volkswagen. We can only do what we can, and in that do our best for every customer to help ensure their vehicles get back on the road in a timely manner with quality repairs that follow. I'd be more than happy to discuss this matter further or provide you with VW of Americas Warranty Guidelines Policy and/or phone number to express your concerns with customer care. Other than that, we will not allow false allegations to be made against us and will not tolerate slander to any of our employees. I hope your next dealership provides a better quality of service.
