Could have been better I was told there was no simple mechanical key, so I bought an extra remote key and had it programmed in order to have a spare key. Total cost about $4 I was told there was no simple mechanical key, so I bought an extra remote key and had it programmed in order to have a spare key. Total cost about $450.00. Later I found out there is a simple mechanical key, which must be a fraction of the cost. Also the interior light was left on and the reprogramming altered my settings. More

Warranty Work I bought my TDI wagon for warranty work, and the process was as straightforward as can be. I briefly mentioned what I thought the problem was, and the service advisor asked for about 45 minutes to assess and verify. Upon verification, he informed me that there was a national backorder for the replacement part. He asked me to bring the car back once the replacement part arrived. The following week the part(s) arrived and I brought the car in. I asked the advisor to check on another warranty-related CEL, and he confirmed that the technicians would do so. He then gave me a loaner car and I was on my way. Given the nation's current events, the repairs were finished in a prompt timeframe and everything mentioned was addressed. More
