1 STAR — BAIT-AND-SWITCH TRADE-IN PRACTICE — DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME My experience with Waxahachie Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram was extremely disappointing and, in my opinion, is a textbook example of why consume YOUR TIME My experience with Waxahachie Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram was extremely disappointing and, in my opinion, is a textbook example of why consumers need to be extremely careful when dealing with this dealership. I was negotiating to purchase a vehicle and had a trade-in. Before I ever drove to the dealership, I provided the dealership with my vehicle's VIN and photographs so they could properly evaluate the trade. I was given/represented a trade value in the $31,000–$35,000 range. I also have documentation dated September 12, 2026, showing a trade valuation of: $31,611 – $35,047 I made the trip to the dealership relying on the information I had been given. Then I arrived. Suddenly, the trade was only worth $26,000. That's a difference of $5,611 to $9,047 from the documented valuation range. If Waxahachie Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram genuinely believed my truck was worth only $26,000, they had my VIN and photographs before I ever got in my vehicle and drove to Waxahachie. They could have told me that before I made the trip. Instead, the much higher trade number got me interested enough to make the trip, and once I was physically at the dealership, the number changed dramatically. That is not the kind of transparent, straightforward car-buying experience customers should expect from a Ram dealership. I'm not complaining because a dealer disagreed with a valuation. Dealers are obviously entitled to appraise vehicles differently. I'm complaining about the dramatic change in the number after the dealership already had the information necessary to evaluate my trade. I consider this bait-and-switch behavior, and I will be reporting my experience to Stellantis/Ram corporate and providing the documentation supporting my complaint. I will be retaining the communications, VIN information, photographs, valuation documentation and the $26,000 offer as evidence of what occurred. Buyers should be extremely cautious. Get the trade value and the entire deal in writing BEFORE driving to this dealership. I would not recommend making a long drive to Waxahachie based on a trade figure unless the dealership is willing to put that figure in writing and stand behind it.
