I was about to buy a used CX-3, when I looked back over my shoulder and asked about several CX-5"s. I expressed my desire for all wheel drive and Christen new exactly the perfect match for me, Low miles , a solid decent deal and 1 of consumer reports best small SUV's on the planet. As Christen walked me through all the really neat features of this vehicle I was struck by his patient's and knowledge of the product. He made me feel like, Im here for you right now Rob and I think your really going to love this product. It was different from any experience I have ever had at a car lot. This was a fun memorable experience, and I would not only recommend your Mazda dealership but I would tell them to ask for Christian !! He made this the best, car buying experience I truly have ever had. I started with the CX-3, but thanks to Christen I ended up with the vehicle that really made me smile. The CX-5 . Quite frankly Christen made both of my two trips down to Renton Mazda such a pleasant and stress free time . I am seriously going to drive down to the Renton Mazda dealership from Seattle just to stop in and say a quick hello to Christen and drop off a picture to the Finance mgr. who also was a great guy . The picture is of my Grandfather Brigadier General Donald A. Robinson and General George Patton (smoking the big cigar) at a table with there Captains and Lt's listening to the latest war front news . General Patton had two stars clearly seen on his uniform in the picture. The two Generals went to West Point together and became good friends !! Anyway Thank you again to Christen who delivered a great buying experience (the best ) Ive ever had buying experience in all my 64.5 years . Also I loved the way Renton Mazda was so organized and free of clutter. It was so clean and well organized I test drove what would become my Mazda CX-5 around the grounds of the dealership with lots of room around me. Thank You Christen for the great car and great buying experience. More
My husband and I bought a new Mazda 3 last weekend at Walker's Renton and we couldn't be happier! Seriously, the car market is almost as bad as the housing market and we were incredibly discouraged until Walker's Renton and we couldn't be happier! Seriously, the car market is almost as bad as the housing market and we were incredibly discouraged until we went to Mazda in Renton. Derrick was a god send, so helpful and NOT pushy. It wasn't a requirement to say we were purchasing to get anyone to assist us. They were the only ones with inventory and fairly priced vehicles. Truly, so thankful for everyone who helped us and made it a painless and easy experience. More
Derrick Drungo was the sales person who helped me with my purchase of a 2022 CX5 Derrick was very professional in all our contacts and most helpful in getting me the exact model I wanted after I had been le purchase of a 2022 CX5 Derrick was very professional in all our contacts and most helpful in getting me the exact model I wanted after I had been let down by another dealer closer to home. He kept me posted throughout the shipping and docking process which is totally fraught during these Covid times. Derrick was totally transparent during the price discussion and I never felt pressured at any time. When I picked up the new car Derrick walked me through all the settings and actually set up the navigation, safety, driving etc controls the way I wanted them - he was very patient and made sure he responded to all my concerns and questions Derrick even followed up 3 days after I took delivery to check if all was well and whether I had any questions I have no hesitation recommending anyone who is looking at a Mazda to contact Derrick at Walkers Renton Mazda It’s a beautiful facility they have there, by the way More

There negotiations and the people involved, both Christian and Ian were ok to work with for the most part. The concerns I have are more related to the professionalism of the dealership. During the Christian and Ian were ok to work with for the most part. The concerns I have are more related to the professionalism of the dealership. During the document signing I was told I needed to update my license with the DOL. Ian pointed to the site on their work computer and I was going to need to make an account with DOL. An average person may have just done this and may have allowed the website to sate their name and password into Mazda's computers. I decided to do the change on my phone rather than a dealership PC. Also, if someone did have to do this, the dealership should teach the employees how to enable incognito mode on chrome so no passwords would be kept. Also, with Ian I had to email him a couple of documents, but these documents were sent to his personal gmail account. I'm surprised that a dealership like Walker's has their sales individuals use personal email accounts for handling sensitive data. None of my documents had anything too personal but SSNs and anything else should be to internal emails only. Walker's should work with their people and be a little more professional. More
I made a service appointment two weeks out and received a confirmation by text. On the designated date I called to confirm and was surprised to discover that there was no trace of my appointment in their sys confirmation by text. On the designated date I called to confirm and was surprised to discover that there was no trace of my appointment in their system. A manager was supposed to call me "right away". A couple of hours later I received a call from a "service manager" who told me he was going to email me his email address (to email him the details of my previously set and now lost appointment). Two hours later -- nothing. I called again and was told said manager will call me back, again, "right away". Three hours later, as the day is nearing its end, -- still nothing. Apparently, the "service manager" has no interest providing that which he supposedly manages. In other words --a dissatisfying, lousy customer's experience. University Mazda -- here I come. More
I visited 3 Ford dealers and a Kia dealer, and none compared to what I found at Walker's Renton Mazda. Derrick was terrific, listening to what I wanted, and he delivered exactly that. The showroom wa compared to what I found at Walker's Renton Mazda. Derrick was terrific, listening to what I wanted, and he delivered exactly that. The showroom was clean and everyone was masked. The other dealerships I visited and mention above, not one person was masked, and that is important to me, and required by our State. The other bonus I received was with my insurance. The safety features on the CRX 5 I purchased, saved me $400 a year! More
Walker's has a beautiful new Mazda store that is let down by 80's sales tactics. We were looking for a new car and it was between Mazda and Toyota. We were definitely not ready to buy and were in the te by 80's sales tactics. We were looking for a new car and it was between Mazda and Toyota. We were definitely not ready to buy and were in the test drive phase. We went on an early Monday afternoon because we hoped it was slower and I didn't want to take a salesperson off the floor just to answer my questions. I've been in the business for 31 years. The woman who helped me was very nice. I make it a point not to tell someone how to do their job. I didn't correct her when she said the car had a full size spare as she pointed at the doughnut. I didn't correct her when she said the car had leather and pointed to the synthetic. There were a couple more not so important items that were incorrect. No problem for me, but if a consumer is uneducated then what?? They got me with "would you like to know the value of your trade". Of course, but I said numerous times that I didn't want to waste their time because I wasn't ready to buy. She kept trying soft close lines and I tried to be as open and polite as possible. The sales manager came out who she said was the owner and he tried to close the deal. NOBODY LISTENS. In their minds all buyers are liars and there must be something he can do. They tried the value of my trade was for "today only". The thing is that the Mazda is leaps and bounds above the Toyota for my situation AND they had the EXACT car spec'd out the way I wanted. I came home and what sealed the deal are the reviews I read. This is a poorly managed store. After quick review I found the highest rated store in Bremerton. Take a wild guess who I BOUGHT from? Please....If you are looking for a Mazda or Subaru do your research because there are some very good stores to buy from and Walker's is NOT one of them. More
