Trip interruption My husband and I were on our way to Ohio when the check engine light came on. We were about 30 minutes outside Louisville and so I called ahead to see if we could bring our car in. Michael Brown said to bring it on in and asked which direction we were coming from and gave us directions. Upon arrival they got us right in. The bad news was that a clamp needed to be replaced but the part was not in stock and would have to be overnighted. Michael bent over backwards to make sure we were taken care of by giving us hotel information, restaurants in the area and a loaner car to use. We were not happy because this is a new car and did not expect any issues on our trip but things do happen. Michael was very professional and accommodating which made a bad situation better. If I lived closer to Louisville this is where I would be buying my next car and where I would have it serviced. Exceptional employees and exceptional service. More

They always go out of there way to look for any factory rebates, recalls or any other programs to reduce my costs. I would recommend this dealers service department over any other I have ever used. My wife and her friends recently took our van to Gulf Shores for spring break - her friend remarked how quiet it was (and the van has well over 160K miles on it). Although we live in the Nashville area, with two Volvo dealerships within 25 mi., my wife and I gladly drove 6 hours round-trip to Louisville with our 8-year-old daughter to conclude our business. Purchase and trade-in were both fair market (I did plenty of homework). There was no lowball trade offer or inflated asking price to insult my intelligence and lead to needless haggling with some sales manager. I got a good deal on a low-mileage CPO with NO hassles. My wife and I have been buying quality new, used, and CPO cars for 27 years, from Toyota to Mercedes, and this was the BEST experience. I can't overstate how courteous, knowledgable, and professional the staff at Volvo of Louisville (Sam Swope Dealerships) were. EVERYONE went out of their way to be helpful. Their mechanic stayed AFTER closing to fine-tune a little highway drift (slightly uneven front tire pressure) and to explain toe-in/toe-out trade-offs for this vehicle's handling and steering feedback. The finance manager shared great insights on managing our credit rating, and the receptionist made sure our 8 year-old daughter was comfortable and had plenty of free snacks (the kids play center is great.) Diana orchestrated the entire experience SEAMLESSLY. These are kind, honest people who know and love their cars, and more importantly, seem to actually love their customers. They WANT you to leave happy and come back - it's not "grab their money and push 'em out the door." Well, it worked because my wife is already considering downsizing her amazing '09 Honda Pilot Touring when our older daughter goes to college - and guess where she's decided to buy her Volvo? More
