My wife and I were looking for a car on Saturday afternoon. Martin was the first person to come and help us with our buying experience. I did not drive enough to make it justified and went to look at my second choice which was the Tiguan. We test drove the Tiguan for the second time and loved it. I was not ready to make a purchase but promised to come back on Monday. I decided to go with the 2013 Tiguan SEL All Motion. I came to the dealership on Monday to purchase the Silver Tiguan SEL that was on the lot. The car was sold by the time I got there. I they decided to get the black with beige interior. What a good choice. I am so glad I chose the different color. It's a sweet combination. Martin was busy with a customer but had Graciano work with me. I really enjoyed working with Graciano. He was very patient with me on getting me the price that I asked with the 1.9& financing. Very pleasant, no pressure shopping experience with Martin and Graciano. My saleman and sales expeirence was fine. Cliff was very honest and the we are happy with the car. The problem lies with the license plates. They made us pay for out plates so one of their companies cou honest and the we are happy with the car. The problem lies with the license plates. They made us pay for out plates so one of their companies could process our title and plates. The problem is the car needed to be emissions tested. No one called or let us know so just before the temp plate expired we called to see our status? No answer left message. After several attempts we were told to call a lady who was very rude to my wife. She insulted my wife and told her they had contacted us and advised us we needed Emissions testing done and we did not comply. This did not happen no one ever called my wife or I. We then got the car emission tested and sent the testing by priority mail to the dealership. The car temp tag was expired 12/28/2013; knowing that you would think a reputable dealership would have sent anothere tag until they complications were settled. This never happened. I had to park the car I just bought for my wife. In Indiana you have to have valid license and plates for insurance to cover the vehicle. I still have not lost my temper but my wife refuses to talk to Autobarn as she states they are rude to her and she does not like that. Well I called and went through the same process where no one answers and I left a voicemail on the phones. I never recieved a call back. I finally got through one day to JOE who was not overly nice but not rude who put me on hold then let me know that our Emissions did get in and that had all the information they needed. I live 1 hr and 45 min from MT Prospect in Indiana but I offered to drive there to get all the paperwork so I can license the car so we can use it. I was put on hold again for several minutes then JOE came back and said the infomation is on its way to the Indiana BMV. I then contacted the BMV for the past 3 days and as of yet they still have not recieved them!!!! My wife has been 17 days without being able to drive the car I just financed her through your process! We have done everything as we were told and are suppose too and to this point have been very easy going and civil. Autobarn has been Rude and evasive for what reasons???? If they would have just sent another temp. plate we would not be aggravated. 17 days and counting with no use of our car----> what would you do? Again sale we have no issues; what are you hiding??? Call and give us some reasonable answers! More

I recently bought a used 2006 VW Passat. I test drove it during the day and everything seemed great. However, after all paperwork was done and it was night time, while still in the garage I noticed the stee during the day and everything seemed great. However, after all paperwork was done and it was night time, while still in the garage I noticed the steering wheel controls were flashing and not working. I pointed it out to James Fischer and he said to call him if it continued and he said he would take care of it. I called and emailed James and finally 4 days later I was contacted by Autobarn. Also, the same day the rear view mirror detached from the windshield! They told me they would give me "a discount on the diagnostics" to find out whats wrong and fix the mirror. I feel insulted and swindled when the problem was noticed on their lot still and they offer to help by giving me just a discount to find out whats wrong. Then I would be responsible for the cost of fixing it. This was my first car I bought and it was a terrible experience. Someone had to have known about the steering control problem and did not disclose it to me and when I noticed I get this type of help? In my opinion the employees of Autobarn are not very honest and any car should be looked at by another mechanic to verify all they say. My overall experience has been poor to very poor. They really earned the stereotypical used car salesman tactics. More
