One of the first times in my life, I actually felt good about the purchase of a car. The initial sales rep, Chris Krause spent an entire day with me taking the time and effort in attempts to find me a sui about the purchase of a car. He cleaned and fetched half a dozen cars for me in order to satisfy my desire. He was patient and again for the first time in the process of buying a vehicle, Chris helped immensely with suggestions, thoughts and ideas about making a decision on what would be right for me. Honestly, he worked non stop from 11am until nearly closing time at 9pm. The "problem solver" Joe Parks intervened and came up with a price that was even below what I offered! The finance agent, Joe Nowakowski was an expert in the field, making things simple and quick. I believe Autobarn of Mt Prospect isn't your typical dealership. I was quite impressed with their overall operations. It was a pretty straightforward interaction with everyone involved and truly a pleasant experience in the purchase of my 1st VW. It was a pleasure working with Graciano, and Allen. I believe they gave me a fair deal, and where more than willing to find the car I wanted. I wanted Reflex silver, and there were none in stock. They called a ton of dealers and got it to their dealership the same day! Even though it was from another lot, they still agreed to the price we originally negotiated for another color. The only draw back was how late we had to wait to get the car, but not really there fault, I told them I would wait. Allen was nice enough to wait with our family until it arrived. Side note, originally because we got the car so late, and it was dark couldn't really inspect the car on the outside, I usually like to check for scratchs or any flaws, as sometimes they are there even though its a new car. Next morning, I thought I found a scratch, called the dealership had me bring it to make right, turned out to just be a scuff and able to wipe it off, it really looked like a bad scratch. Even though it wasn't a scratch, I appreciated Rich and Graciano making every effort to make sure everything else was good to go. More

I came to the Autobarn thinking that it would be another stressful negotiaition for a used car,...turns out they actually want to sell cars and make the customer happy in the process.
