After searching the Internet for cars, Autobarn was my fourth dealership I went to. I test drove several types of cars before coming into Autobarn. I wasnt really satisfied with the cars I test drove. They were different make and models and wasnt quite sure what I wanted. I was greeted by Kalina (Gartner) Stoyanov as I entered Autobarn. I have a friend with a Passat and she is quite happy with her car so I thought I'd give it a look. Kalina was friendly, knowledgeable, and really helped me find just the car I wanted. I test drove the car and liked the way it handled. She showed me how things worked in the car and explained about what is involved in buying a pre-certified car. Volkswagen has a good reputation and everyone seems knowledgable about the cars. So I purchased a 2012 Passat. I was very happy with the way she took all the time with me that I needed. Plus, I enjoyed talking and dealing with another women. Made me feel very comfortable considering the major purchase I was buying. Think more car businesses should put on more women like Kalina. I worked with Graciano as my salesman. He was very friendly & not pushy. Zoltan was great, he even took time to pick me up from the train to take delivery of my car. I'm sure every dealer would do this but he was prompt and is also a great asset to the dealership as is Graciano for sure. I delt with John & Joe from Finance amd they were straight forward when explaining the terms of the sale. The vehicle was detailed perfectly! The truck is 13 years old but looked brand new. Two issues with the transaction but not anything that would deter me from buying from them again. The issues are. I made a total of 5 requests from the four people I delt with asking them to send me a copy of the car fax report that is available upon request. I made these requests several times either giving my email or home address to send it too. All my attempts failed. I suppose I should have asked while I was still negotiating the price and had not yet paid for the vehicle. The requests were made in person and over the phone a week after the transaction. The second issue which was to me a problem was I paid with a bank check from my credit union. I get a call from Joe a week later telling me my credit union check bounced. Needless to say this caused some anxiety because I already had possesion of the vehicle for a week. As soon as I got off the phone with Joe I called my credit union and they said the check cant bounce because it was preapproved. The problem was the dealer didnt endorse the check exacly as it was worded in the "pay to the order of" section & they said I needed to endorse it on the front and back. I had only endorsed it on the front. I've never done this before so I assumed I signed it correctly when they accepted the truck & I took delivery. I had to get a new check overnighted to me and then mailed it back to them. I would only advise don't tell the customer their financing check "bounced" when in fact you were 100% sure why there was an error with it. In summary Graciano & Zoltan stood out as guys to deal with. I'm happy with the vehicle the deal I got. More
