I like going to the car dealership as much as I like going to the dentist. I will avoid it as long as I have to. Preferably forever. I absolutely had to come in to purchase a car. This is where my love for Volkswagen began. Unlike most car salesmen, Chris has the most amount of patience than anyone I’ve met in this industry. He’s so kind, caring, in-tuned with what I was looking for, understanding and helpful. You can tell he just wants a car to fit. I never once felt pushed. I bought my car a few weeks later and had to come back to the same person because of how much I felt I trusted Chris. I was right. I’m such a happy gal driving home with my VW Taos. I loved my experience and I wish for every new car buyer to have such a smooth, happy experience making their big purchase. Thank you again Chris. And their GM Matt. If I could give zero stars I would. I went in with a check engine light and they told me after 24 hours to check what the light was for (they didn't do any actual inspection and still charged me $190 to check engine light and they told me after 24 hours to check what the light was for (they didn't do any actual inspection and still charged me $190 to read the check engine light) that I needed $800 worth of fluids and $1500 for a cracked charcoal canister for the EVAP system. I had just gotten this repaired and they told me the part would not be under warranty, the vehicle was not safe to drive, and if I didn't want to put the money into the car I should just sell it to them. I took it to the shop where I originally got the EVAP system fixed and they did a full inspection and found that the issue was I was missing a rubber ring in my gas cap. It was $37.... The VW of Downtown Chicago tried to charge my $2500 and convince me my car was undrivable when all I needed was a rubber ring. The fact that they went out of their way to try to get me to sell them my car, make me think it was a safety matter, and lied to me about the warranty is absolutely manipulative and unacceptable. I would never recommend anyone go there. More

After two weeks of talking to salesmen over the phone and filling out online pre-approval forms... After calling a week prior to pick the the vehicle at a given day (Friday) Having a 80 miles to drive t filling out online pre-approval forms... After calling a week prior to pick the the vehicle at a given day (Friday) Having a 80 miles to drive to the dealership just for a test drive and normally finalize the deal... Being guided through paperwork before I was even able to see the vehicle, I shrugged it off. Then I'm told the vehicle isn't drivable after about an hour and a half on paperwork and waiting because they are waiting on repairs, but failed to mention it on the phone or while I was there filling out all the paperwork, so I asked what's wrong with it....."oh they don't know what's wrong with it, some valve... I'm not a mechanic" [[wow]] This was with-in a two week notice and three different salesmen, unfortunately I got the lazy one who couldn't remember the name of the part after a two minute walk from supposedly asking the mechanic. (Brain fart let's hope) I had over 3000 to put down if nessary and the bank already approved but after being treated like a child and wasting my time and energy. I wouldn't shop here even if they were giving brand new vehicles away on principle alone Wasted 5 hours of my life, Being used as some kinda social gambit so these guys can feel good about themselves is not my idea of a pleasant shopping experience. I hope they get some younger sales(people) in there and a fresher take on what it takes to sell something in 2021. Out with the old in with the new.. More
