I ultimately decided on purchasing my new Camaro through Van Chevrolet mostly in part to Eric Francisco who was the salesperson that responded to my online inquiry. I had reached out to a couple dealerships Van Chevrolet mostly in part to Eric Francisco who was the salesperson that responded to my online inquiry. I had reached out to a couple dealerships but one would not answer my questions and mostly wanted me just come in. Eric on the other hand, responded to my questions quickly and thoroughly. That transparency got me into the dealership to test drive the car. Based on my correspondence with Eric, he actually had a couple vehicles which made sense for me to look at. He was great to deal with and pretty funny to boot! I enjoyed visiting with him while buying a car. Don't think I've ever said that before! Then worked with Bob Horchler in finance and he was really helpful and nice. All in all it was a very enjoyable buying experience. More
Okay its springtime once again and I am limited to where my car can go! I have learned to pack camping gear in such a way I can drive the 2012 Malibu. However, I want to be more than an urban camper and stick to the nice campgrounds in Arizona. I needed a truck to go where I want and enjoy the outdoors. My first trip to Van Chevrolet in 2012 was a very good so when I found out they were going to be at the tent sale I had to attend. Well I made my appointment with Eric Francisco for first thing in the morning as there was no way I wanted to be outside in the heat unless I was going to be by the pool. ( it was going to be over 100 degrees that day) When I arrived, Eric greeted me with a smile and since he knew in advance, what I wanted we went right to it and there was no stopping. Paul the manager told me what types of trucks that would work with my financing. That was wonderful so I did not waste my time looking at trucks I could not afford. Well that was not to long of a deal and we found the perfect truck just for me and it was even Rudy Red which was nice since I have never had a red vehicle before it was very special to have a truck that sparkles. The finance person bob I think was his name had the paper work ready very quickly and I signed and received my tablet gift and went to see my new truck. The entire process only took a couple of hours and I was on my way. Eric took me to the detail area and showed me all the bells and whistles of the new truck and had it all setup for me. The only thing I needed to do was learn how to drive such a big truck. It is a 2013 Silverado LT and I love it. Eric, Paul, and Bob thank you very much for everything you have done you were the best and since this is my second purchase from them I will continue to buy from Van Chevrolet should I need another vehicle again. For now, I am going to take Chevrolets advice and go “Find new roads” and Make some new roads along the way! Apryl More
Salesman, S. Flannigan made a cold call to my niece, Bonnie Klein, after noting mileage on her Duramax after service. Long story short, on 4/25/2013 Bonnie traded in her truck for a new Silverado with a Bonnie Klein, after noting mileage on her Duramax after service. Long story short, on 4/25/2013 Bonnie traded in her truck for a new Silverado with all the bells and whistles and had a great experience doing so. Thank You Shawn and the staff at Van Chevrolet for such a great experience. It was a very fair deal all around. Bonnie will be sure to return to Az. and Van Chevrolet in the future. April 2013 RE: VAN CHEVROLET/CHUCK MULLINS, GM, MATT April 2013 RE: VAN CHEVROLET/CHUCK MULLINS, GM, MATT CERRETA GSM, Shawn McEniry Service Writer, Derek HADDAD, Service Grunt I just don’t und April 2013 RE: VAN CHEVROLET/CHUCK MULLINS, GM, MATT CERRETA GSM, Shawn McEniry Service Writer, Derek HADDAD, Service Grunt I just don’t understand these dealers in Arizona. Especially the Vantuyl dealerships that continue to try and completely and royally screw people over in the service department. It’s just unbelievable how they snowball people and how they get away with it. This story happens to deal with Van Chevrolet and all the people mentioned above. My wife and I just bought a 2007 Cadillac Escalade. I wanted to take it to Van Chevrolet to have it inspected and then have some warranty work done. Turns out that I needed rear brake pads. Keep in mind that my relationship with Van Chevrolet didn’t start off very well about a year ago. I caught them in numerous lies when I first took one of our escalades there. They didn’t do certain work like the alignment, they didn’t change fluids like they said they did etc. I completely lost it when they didn’t do the work the first time and had another dealer catch them in the act. Van Chevrolet did correct the problems the first time though so I thought I could trust them. Well I was wrong once again. I took the vehicle to them to have the rear brake pads, alignment, and brake flush done. Keep in mind that I wanted to have OEM Cadillac Brake Pads put on as well. I even gave them the invoice from the dealer in Tempe where I wanted them to get them from. I was getting cost plus 10 percent on these pads. Instead they ended up putting the cheapest Non Ceramic pads on there. First of all they didn’t even do the alignment. The Tow adjustment was completely off. Then I took it to another dealer and they said the brake flush had not been done either. The fluid was pretty dark and it was pretty evident. Then our brake pads were squeaking every time we came to a stop. It was the worst noise I had ever heard. We have 10 cars so I know cars pretty good. I also know when something is not acting right on a car. So I decided to take it to Just Brakes in Mesa, AZ who have lifetime warranty on the PADS. I decided I was going to video Tape the whole process which I will be putting up on my UTube very shortly. I will attach a link at a later date. So when they took the brake pads off it was discovered right off that they never took the rotors off and machined the rotors. How do we know this? The factory clips had never been removed. When we did remove them there was fresh rust behind them. The video will clearly show this and the rotors never been turned. Then they took the hardware off and discovered the Guide Pin and the ears on the pads were completely DRY! This is very bad. The guide pin should have been greased a little bit along with the ends of the brake pads called the ears to Stop and prevent squeaking. Not turning the rotors is just completely lazy and a huge mistake as well. I have all of this on video. Then we took the front wheels off and it was discovered that my fronts needed to be replaced. Van Chevrolet gave me no 24 point inspection sheet to let me know this. Then we put the vehicle up on the alignment rack and it was discovered by Just Brakes in Mesa, AZ that the Tow adjustment was severely off. Van Chevrolet did not even do the alignment but gladly charged me for it. If I never would have taken my vehicle to Just Brakes for a second opinion and third opinion I would have never known. Yes people, I am telling you to start taking your car to another source just to make sure you car or truck or RV or Boat is actually getting the work done that you paid for. It has now come to this in this world. It’s sad to say but you just can’t trust VAN Chevrolet and most of these dealerships. Even if you do trust them take them to a shop like Just Brakes that will let you watch them do all the work. They will show you talk to you and let you watch them do the work. These dealers are over charging, not doing the work and laughing all the way to the bank. If this happens to you make sure you pay with your AMEX and dispute the charge or dispute it with your VISA and then complain to your State Attorney General and the BBB. Go to the news, radio and anybody else that will listen. The news gets heavily paid advertising money from these dealerships so the news and radio at least in Arizona probably won’t do anything for you. But the AG and the BBB will. Don’t let these people just walk all over you. Dispute and then take them to Small Claims court. Take your car to Just Brakes or another shop to make sure the work has been done and video tape it. I know it sounds like a lot of work but I am just warning people about the Van Chevrolets out there. Don’t trust this dealership or any VanTuyl Dealership in the Valley. They are all Crooks! Make sure you give them a BAD Survey or Review on www.dealerrater.com if they do a terrible job. They all can’t stand this. Again, I am just warning everybody in the Valley in Phoenix, AZ. Went in to purchase a Mitsubishi Lancer that was posted as an internet sale. First, me and my pregnant daughter were seated at sales rep desk for 25 minutes before he even showed up. 2nd when we asked to as an internet sale. First, me and my pregnant daughter were seated at sales rep desk for 25 minutes before he even showed up. 2nd when we asked to test drive the Lancer it took another 25 minutes for the test drive. When sales rep appeared we were told that the car was not cleaned and had to be washed because it was sitting under a tree and had to be washed and had to put gas in vehicle that's why it took so long. Thirdly, after the waiting around for the prior's above, the price was changed from $2915 to $2988, the sales rep stated that the car had been on Van Chevrolet of Scottsdale car lot for 15 days and there was not a 172 point check done on the vehicle. The sales rep stated that Van Chevrolet wanted me to pay the $1988 to have the vehicle worked on which Van Chevrolet of Scottsdale wanted to add to the price of the vehicle. Then of course tax, title, license and registration which I knew would be a different price. Car would total $5488 to take off the car lot. So buyer beware of this Van Chevrolet of Scottsdale car lot practices, what you see on the internet is not what you get. Disappointed Consumer More
My husband and I decided to take a look at new cars since it was time to trade ours in. After going from car lot to car lot, we ended up at Van Chevrolet where we were greeted by Eric Francisco. We told him it was time to trade ours in. After going from car lot to car lot, we ended up at Van Chevrolet where we were greeted by Eric Francisco. We told him we were just looking and no idea what we were even wanting. We looked and looked and then drove a few. We finally decided we like the Chevy Traverse. Eric told us all bout the vehicles and the different options that were available. Once we decided on our new vehicle Eric showed us the price and what we would get for our trade-in, we were ready to buy. At that point we were greeted by Ryan, the finance manager who went over the number, shook our hand and said congratulations. They both made it so easy for us. We then waited a bit for Wayne Reese to get all the papers in order to sign. Once that was done we were on our way out the door with our New Chevy Traverse. Thanks you everyone at Van Chevrolet for all your help, from selection to finance. We love our New Traverse. More
We called the dealership and asked to confirm some information as it was almost 100 miles round trip for us to drive out to look at a vehicle. The dealership confirmed several times by phone that we information as it was almost 100 miles round trip for us to drive out to look at a vehicle. The dealership confirmed several times by phone that we had been "approved" for our purchase and that a suitable vehicle was waiting and ready for us. We were told to ask for Dan,the sales manager, when we arrived at the dealership, which we did. Dan was too busy eating lunch to come to meet us and handed us off to a salesman who did not know a single thing about what we were looking for. The "appropriate" vehicle was in the back lot, too far to walk. We had to drive back in a lot vehicle to go see it. The vehicle was not cleaned nor ready to be sold. We looked at the first vehicle, which would have been appropriate and were ready to complete our purchase. However, the lender they had "approval" from had never received our paperwork and had not given any approvals. We were also told we were turned down by the lender. Less than 2 days later, we purchased a vehicle from another dealership and were approved for financing by the same bank at the same amount. We were very disappointed in the reception we got from the dealership and the lack of concern about our feelings as well as the total disregard for the expense and inconvenience we incurred in our drive from one end of the valley to the other. I bought a 2011 buick lacrosse, in Feb 2012. I was in a wheel chair, recovering from a broken back and 2 broken ankes. I needed a vehicle I could get in and out of, so I bought the Buick Lacrosse. The car wheel chair, recovering from a broken back and 2 broken ankes. I needed a vehicle I could get in and out of, so I bought the Buick Lacrosse. The car was a certified pre-owned. I drove it for a month and the car started falling apart. When I took it in for repair, the sales men tried to talk me in to trading it in. They took too long for approval so I left. Another month later I could smell radiator fluid, so i made an appointment for repair again. This time they tried agian to trade in. They let me know the warranty was up on my Lacrosse, so I had to trade it in. We all oked on a truck, until they told me my credit score would not allow me to get the truck unless I put down $12000. I got mad and left. I still had to get my Lacrosse fixed, So I took the car to Coulter Motor Company in Tempe. The service Manager heard my story and looked up my Vin. And told me I have about 500 miles till my warranty was up. Coulter changed the power steering pump, front seal, water pump, reprogrammed the computer and fixed all of the leaks. ON WARRANTY!!! But they did tell my my car was in an accident, and couldnt fix the loose bumper or the change in color. I took the car to a a body shop and He said the bumper was missing alot of parts, and who ever sold me the car, fixed and painted it for resale. Again I tried to trade the car in with Coulter Motor company, This time they let me know both airbags have been deployed and The value of the car most likely depreciated $10,000. I was a Handicap conned in to this yearly ordeal. They do NOT care about the customer. Ron Daley and all of the financial managers will do anything for your money. I still have the car and stuck with the loss. Korey Curley More
I took my Chevy SSR into the Service Department for a flown fuse in the Air Conditioner and was told my extended warranty did not cover to find out why the fuse keep blowing and they Wanted to install in flown fuse in the Air Conditioner and was told my extended warranty did not cover to find out why the fuse keep blowing and they Wanted to install inline fuses to find out what keep blowing the fuse. It would cost me $550.00 to put the inline fuses in so they would know why it keep blowing and that the Extended Warranty did not cover it. I told them it was outragous and I would not have it done,so I was charged $130.00 with it not being fixed! I called the MPP Warranty Company to find out why they would not cover the repairs and they told me that Van Chevrolet never contacted them and that Manny Ramirez had never called, the Service Manager Shawn McEniry, called me 2 days later and took care of me and did all the work and did it at no charge! Thanks So Much Shawn...... More
My wife and I recently decided that it was the right time to look into buying a hybrid vehicle and after doing research on the cars we narrowed our choices down to three vehicles. The first of the three vehi to look into buying a hybrid vehicle and after doing research on the cars we narrowed our choices down to three vehicles. The first of the three vehicles we were going to test drive was located at Van Chevrolet in Scottsdale. Part of the research that I did was not only for the vehicle itself but the dealership as well, customer service is very big in my book and I wanted a dealership that was going to treat me as a person and not a number REGARDLESS of the outcome of the sale, during the research I noticed that a salesman by the name of Eric Francisco had an impeccable rating of 5 out of 5 stars, I had my pont of contact and I was going to make sure that he was going to be the one person that I needed to talk with to make the car buying experience as pleasant as possible for my wife and I. As we were coming all the way from Glendale I wanted to make sure that he was there as well as the vehicle in question so I called first, he was there as well as the vehicle, so off we went. After spending a little time talking to Eric and giving him the pertinent information we went out for a test drive on the vehicle and were impressed with most everything we saw with the vehicle, we finished the ride got back to the dealership and let him know that my wife and I were going to go to lunch and that I would be back to give him our answer, there was no pressure from these guys as we left, he recommended a restaurant nearby so we went and discussed the pros and cons of the vehicle and the way we were treated over some fine Italian food (which Eric actually repaid us for out of his own pocket). When all was said and done we walked away from lunch with the understanding that we liked the vehicle well enough to make an offer so we did, now comes the dreaded negotiating part that I was not looking forward to.....but the dreaded part never came. They (Eric and Smiley) actually listened to what I had to say and worked with me on a price that was fair to both party's, we were treated with "The golden rule". To make a long story short my wife and I drove away in a very nice car at a fair price, this car buying experience at Van Chevy would not have happened without Eric being the consummate professional and providing customer service to us at a level that I have personally never experienced from a car dealer....ever. We will most assuredly be letting the friends and people that we know that Eric & Smiley at Van Chevy are professionals that live out "customer service" in the car buying experience. Len & Stacie More
