Went to van bortel ford to get tires put on my 2022 bronco sport, car was in prestine condition when I dropped it off, upon driving home I noticed a large grease stain on my passenger side leather seat bronco sport, car was in prestine condition when I dropped it off, upon driving home I noticed a large grease stain on my passenger side leather seat, they also threw the old tires on my rear leather seats leaving dirt stones and other debris all over the interior. 1 of the rims had scrapes on it as well. I called 2 times couldn't get ahold of anyone at the service center so I used their text messaging service. When they finally answered that they claimed there was no record of my vehicle being worked on there and insisted I must've taken it to subaru or Chevy. What a joke of an establishment. Brand new $40,000 vehicle they xxxxed up and had the audacity to argue with me about it. Avoid them at all costs. Van bortel subaru has their business squared away and running like clockwork, true professionals. But van bortel ford is literally the worst dealer I've ever experienced. More

I usually have a decent experience here but this time they messed up. My husband called Van Bortel Ford about my ‘14 Ford fusion. The girl on the other end of the phone told us to bring it in and the they messed up. My husband called Van Bortel Ford about my ‘14 Ford fusion. The girl on the other end of the phone told us to bring it in and they would fit it in where they could, no appointment needed. They called us a few days after we dropped it off and said we needed an appointment, so we made an appointment (July 10th). We left the car there because something was wrong with the front struts and there was a recall. When we made the appointment, we explained to Andy our service advisor, that we were taking this car on a cross-country road trip to Seattle to give to a family member for his first car and we needed it by end of day July 12th. In the time the car was sitting in the parking lot, the battery had died and needed to be replaced because it was on the older side and lost its charge. They replaced the battery. Then they brought it in to diagnose it and told us Monday, July 10th that they had all of the parts in stock and that the car would indeed be done by the desired date(July 12th EOD). July 12th came, we hadn’t had a phone update, so I called Thursday the 13th and got Michael because Andy was not there, and he told me that they had ordered a part and that the part had just come in that morning and that the car would be done tomorrow, July 14th by end of day. I called my husband and told him what they told me and I asked if he had explained our situation and that we were leaving with the car as our transportation at 5pm July 14th. He told me that he had and that he would be calling them shortly after we hung up with each other. When he called, he was told again by Michael the same story I was told. My husband explained to michael the situation we were in, again, and also asked why we didn’t get a phone call explaining that there was a part they had to order and were waiting for, when the car had been there in the parking lot for 3 WEEKS(never got the answer to that question). My husband told Michael to have it done by NOON July 14th because we were picking up the car….. They had the car done by noon the July 14th so we could pick it up but the hassle my husband and I went through to make sure the car got fixed in a timely manner, and the lack of communication on fords end is ridiculous. The car was dropped off and sat for 3 whole weeks and no one bothered to look at it for diagnostics and ordering parts ahead of time. We both work at a different dealership and we understand how busy every dealership is, we are busy as well and barely have time to squeeze things into the schedule at our shop as well, but we manage to get the tow ins into the shop where we can. If you didn’t have time I would have much rather you tell me. If I had to make an appointment I would have liked to know upfront and if it didn’t work out I would have gone elsewhere, but I was told to just bring it in no appointment needed. And then I was told that all parts were in stock, when they weren’t all in stock and I had to be the one to inquire about an update instead of being informed. Then when all was said and done we got the car two days later than we needed it. What’s wrong with this picture. The car drove perfectly and we had no problems driving it across the country. But all the other stuff, I’m not happy. I know if this was Van Bortel Subaru this would have never been an issue. More
