Experience was less than I expected I expected more attentive service from Van Bortel Ford service department. My prior dealings with service depts at Shepard Ford (Canandaigua, NY) an I expected more attentive service from Van Bortel Ford service department. My prior dealings with service depts at Shepard Ford (Canandaigua, NY) and Pallotta Ford (Wooster, OH) have been far better. My experience at Van Bortel started to slide after Adam the service representative didn’t call me when he said he would to let me know the status of my vehicle. When I called at mid day (I brought my vehicle in before 7.30 am, appointment made 2 weeks prior), I learned that no work had started on it yet. When I picked up my vehicle, I noticed driving home from the dealership that the hood had not been securely closed. I immediately called Van Bortel Service and let the manager Tom know about the hood issue. He was professional and said that he would take the issue up with the technician and would give me $50 off my next service. It’s difficult for me to recommend this Ford service dept, but at least the work that was done seems in order. More
