I went in to get my usb ports fixed. Turns out it was more wrong with my truck than I intended so I had to get that fixed too. Luckily I have extended car warranty that covered it. After dropping off my truck I received a call that stated “your steering column box is broken, but we didn’t break it”. I was infuriated because I know it wasn’t broken prior but I hate confrontation so I said I’ll just get it fixed. That was ridiculous. I finally had my usb ports fixed after contacting the warranty company myself and having them email Cadillac to say it’s covered and to get it fixed because I was told by the tech that it wasn’t covered. The warranty company also stated there was never a claim about my usb ports to get fixed at all to begin with, which I was baffled about because I had to pay $189 for a diagnostic fee. I have a zero dollar deductible on my warranty and shouldn’t have been charged at all. Jamie was very nice and helped get my truck fixed up and back to me even though it took me two times coming there to get it all done. Not to add, when I took my truck there the second time and gave the check in guy my keys nothing was ripped off my key cover or torn but when I was given back my keys at pick up it was ripped up and they told me to go to parts to replace my key in which I was informed it’ll be $600 for a new key or more! So first my steering column box and now my keys! So the customer liaison had me come into his office and ended up giving me a new key to my truck. I am very disappointed with the service department and don’t think I’ll ever be back to get anything done on my truck again. More
I appreciated the courtesy of everyone that I had contact with. My car was repaired and I am back on the road. When there was a problem with getting parts I was given a loaner for a trip that I had planned with. My car was repaired and I am back on the road.
