I visited Universal Nissan on May 2009, after one credit decline and another bad experience with two different Toyotas Dealerships. I was trying to buy a corrolla but no luck. In Universal Nissan, I meet Sa decline and another bad experience with two different Toyotas Dealerships. I was trying to buy a corrolla but no luck. In Universal Nissan, I meet Sale Person: Alex Gianoni, and I really have to praise for his great attitude and expertise in showing the vehicles availables, explain all details and for selecting the best options for me; worked with the finance department for the best deal I could get. I have a property that went on foreclosure and really was hurting on my credit, on top of that I tried to trade in a old vehicle with more 20 payment still to go and they almost covered the whole value to cover the excess on the remaining balance. I bought a brand new vehicle and appreciate all the great work that Alex did to exceed my expectation. Thanks. Javier.L More
Beware of Universal Nissan in Orlando! We have a 2004 Nissan Murano and the lease was due to expire at the end of the month. Since the vehicle has such low miles, is in great condition and the buyout pri Nissan Murano and the lease was due to expire at the end of the month. Since the vehicle has such low miles, is in great condition and the buyout price was very reasonable, we decided to purchase the vehicle. Over the past few weeks, I spoke with Nissan Motor Acceptance to verify the buyout price and the $150 fee to buy the vehicle at the end of the lease. They told me that I would need to contact a dealer to get the tax and any additional fees. I called Universal Nissan twice to ask if they could tell me if there were any additional fees, over and above tax, to finalize the purchase and if they could give me the "out the door" price. The first time I called, I asked if the buyout price, tax and the $150 fee was all I needed to account for and was told "yes". The second time I called, one of the finance managers told me that I needed to finalize the deal with Nissan Motor Acceptance, since I was paying cash for the vehicle. I told him that was not was Nissan Motor Acceptance told me, so I decided to call them and verify. Nissan Motor Acceptance told me that I had to go through a dealer and that they could not finalize the purchase directly. Yesterday (3/21/08) we went to Universal Nissan to finalize the purchase of the Murano. We sat down with one of their finance managers, Dea, and went through Universal Nissan’s numbers. There was a fee of $599 that Dea referred to as a "dealer fee" for processing the paper work and he said that "every dealer will charge you a fee to do this". I was upset as I called Universal Nissan twice and no one ever once mentioned this fee, even when I specifically asked. I told Dea that I would pay the fee only if it was specifically spelled out in the lease I signed and then requested that he pull a copy of my lease for review. Next, I was told "if you go to Reed Motors (Nissan dealer in Orlando) they will charge you a $799 fee" and "we do not make any money off of this transaction". After requesting to see a copy of my lease two more times and no one ever producing it, I said that I am not doing this today as the numbers are not correct. Today (3/22/08) I called Reed Motors in Orlando and asked to speak with their leasing consultant. Dwayne answered my call and I explained to him what I was planning to do. He took my lease number, called Nissan for the buyout price and provided me with their "out the door" price that was about $777 less than Universal Nissan. I was quite surprised! Dwayne then ran down the charges and said that Reed Motors does not charge a "dealer fee" as Universal Nissan had told me. Reed Motors tax and tag numbers were also lower than those given to me by Universal Nissan. Two hours later we sat down with Dwayne at Reed Motors and finalized the purchase of the vehicle at the "out the door" price promised over the phone. Dwayne and his finance manager, Michael, were very helpful, nice and provided exceptional service. Universal Nissan lied to me on the phone and in my face, while trying to take me for an extra $777 dollars. Universal Nissan is not trustworthy and will lie or dodge the subject in order to take your money. I recommend you try out Reed Motors in Orlando if you are looking for some, nice, honest people. I was never pressured to buy another vehicle or even an extended warranty and was treated as if I were purchasing a new vehicle right off the lot. Great experience! More

I blame those idiots that sit in their glassed enclosure thinking on how to screw poor suckers like me and you. I leased a 2008 NISSAN VERSA on 01/15/2008. On or about February 10th, 2008, I returned to Nissan to buy a used 350Z. The price they asked was $19,995.00. I wanted to trade in a 2006 Chrysler town + country. I have to mention that I was upside down on this car. After a long talk the deal was almost done, with me putting down $15,000.00, there trade-in offer for my car around $10,000.00, and financing the 350Z for $22,000.00 (including tax and licensing, etc). On my return home I accessed the internet (WWW.AUTOTRADER.COM), to search for a similar vehicle. To my surprise and disbelief I find the same car (SAME DEALER, SAME VIN NUMBER, SAME CAR) with a price tag $3,000.00 dollars cheaper than in the store. On February 12th, I accessed the internet one more time and find the same car listed for $16,488.00 UNBELIEVABLE. I called the dealership and asked the price of the car. I was told by the person on the phone that that car had to go, and I could get it for $15,900.00. I returned to dealership and asked the salesman how much they asked for the car. The answer was $19,995.00. They told me that the price quoted me WAS THE INTERNET PRICE. After confronting the entire sales team and managers, they still had the guts to call me back asking if I didn't want to buy the car. They would give the deal of the century. MY answer was NO THANK YOU. I told them that by law and Florida Staute 307 they have to disclose the sales price to the public. END OF STORY...I FILLED A FORMAL COMPLAIN WITH THE STATE DISTRICT ATTORNEY. My next step is to file a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Try to make a lier out of me UNIVERSAL NISSAN. I went in yesterday and left with a car. They worked with me for hours to get me the deal that would work for my situation. I knew going in getting a deal that would be in my budget mighte be difficult with me for hours to get me the deal that would work for my situation. I knew going in getting a deal that would be in my budget mighte be difficult becuase I owed so much on my trade but they made it happen and I got lots of extras too. My sales rep Alex was great and patient he was willing to have me look at any car that made me happy and answer all my questions. I would highly reccomend anyone work with Universal Nissan and ask for Alex! More
I had a very bad experience with the sales department of this dealership when trying to buy a car. I made a prior appointment by email and confirmed by phone to test drive a Maxima. I got a price for a part this dealership when trying to buy a car. I made a prior appointment by email and confirmed by phone to test drive a Maxima. I got a price for a particular Maxima by email. The salesman, called Jeff, had absolutely no clue as to where the car we were interested in was and told us that it is sold. However, we found it in their parking lot. He even went to pee and kept us waiting while we were on a test drive. He wasted our time from 4pm to 9pm. Eventually when we asked what is taking so long, he responded that it doesn't take so long for customers who are willing to pay the sticker price. We offered a price but they weren't interested to negotiate. The next morning Jeff called requesting us to take the car at the price we offered. We denied as we had already purchased a car by that time. Overall, it was a very draining and frustrating experience. Beware of Jeff -- an old and short guy, good for nothing. I do not recommend Universal Nissan to any one. However, if you do happen to check them out, do not give in to their price but wait for the next morning for them to call you and agree with your price. Their pricing is not very competitive. More
