I visited Universal Nissan on August 7th and purchased a 2012 Nissan Sentra. While I am content with my car, I was very dissatisfied with my service. In particular, the dealer working with me, Michael Van 2012 Nissan Sentra. While I am content with my car, I was very dissatisfied with my service. In particular, the dealer working with me, Michael Vand, was not genuine in his interactions with me. He frequently pulled out his cell phone and looked at it while we were interacting with him and going over the offer sheet. He made comments about how long it was taking me to make a decision and seemed very impatient. After the process was over, Michael then bullied me into giving him a "10" on his guest service comment card which i had to fill out right in front of him. Since then, I have discovered a ding in my passenger door, and my calls to him for assistance have been unreturned. The manager who did the paperwork with me, Dave Young, was also very impersonal, rushing me to sign everything as quickly as possible. Like my interaction with Michael, I had a question afterwards regarding my insurance, and again my phone calls have not been returned. It was very clear that all they care about was selling the car, and could care less about my satisfaction, or any questions I have now. As far as pricing goes, Universal Nissan tried to undervalue my trade-in. My car, which was a 2005 Nissan Sentra, was appraising at $5,000 to $6,000 online, and i previously got it appraised at Car Max 2 days earlier for $4,500. However, Universal Nissan originally tried to give me only $2,800 for my car. Because I had the Car Max appraisal, they eventually gave me $4,000 for the trade-in. Beware if you go to trade-in your car with them because they clearly only care about their profit. The Car Max appraisal was helpful and i recommend others do so as well. In comparison, later this week, on August 14th, I went to David Maus Toyota in Sanford with my friend when he bought his new car. Their guest service was fantastic and was a complete 180 from what i experienced at Universal Nissan. It is very safe to say I will never go back to Universal Nissan and do not recommend anyone else does either. More

On August 15,2011 I traded in A 2011 Hyundai Sonata which I bought there 6 months ago for a new 2011 Nissan Maxima. I also took a friend of mine 1 month ago who bought a used 2010 Nissan maxima. Needless to I bought there 6 months ago for a new 2011 Nissan Maxima. I also took a friend of mine 1 month ago who bought a used 2010 Nissan maxima. Needless to say if I was not impressed by their proffessionalism and friendliness and their service dept. I would never have gone back to them. They made me feel like family. Michael Vand who is my salesperson is now my adopted brother. Their whole staff is made me feel like I was dealing with family. Needless to say they has exceeded my expectation. More
This is the 2nd car I have purchased from this dealership. As a repeat customer, I expected to have a good experience. However, this experience was even more than what I expected. John booth was dealership. As a repeat customer, I expected to have a good experience. However, this experience was even more than what I expected. John booth was very helpful and took his time with all the details to make sure I fully understood every feature and aspect of my new vehicle. John took great pride in making sure I was completely satisfied as a customer. Now I'm not sure I bought the vehicle or the salesperson. In either even it is a purchase I would make 1000 times over! This is the second car i bought from universal nissan, when i bought my previous car i bought it from amine and i had basically no credit, by no credit i mean no, however amine treated me and showed me an when i bought my previous car i bought it from amine and i had basically no credit, by no credit i mean no, however amine treated me and showed me any car i wanted like if had the perfect credit, as a matter of fact he never asked me about credit until we picked a car, i picked the car i liked and he told me i needed a co-signer, but my co-signer didn't have the best credit at the time, and amine and maddy (F&I) were able to get me in the car i liked. Almost a year later i decided it was time for a new car again, i called amine about a car i liked i saw online and he found out it was ready and told me to come in and see it whenever i liked, when i got there amine was busy and they referred me to michael vand, very great guy just like amine they both are not the typical pushy salesman type of people that everyone is used to, i spent more on the actual test drive that the negotiation both of the times, him and whoever where in the finance office worked pretty good with me and i would definently be going back there when i it is time for a new car again. This was a great experience - no high pressure, gave us time to talk, showed us a number of cars and all the features. From sales to financing, an overall great experience - do not like high pressure time to talk, showed us a number of cars and all the features. This dealership is a private franchise, and they don't have to answer to Nissan Corp (heard this from a service technician at Reed Nissan on Colonial Dr.). Don't learn that information the hard way like have to answer to Nissan Corp (heard this from a service technician at Reed Nissan on Colonial Dr.). Don't learn that information the hard way like I did. I filled out their information sheet and dropped my car off for a computer/engine problem. An hour later (I was already at work), they called and asked if my car had been worked on at any non-Nissan dealerships. I said yes, and the guy said they wouldn't work on my car because of that, and because my car had over 100K miles (it's at 106K). I said why didn't the guy who took my keys tell me this before I dropped off my car, and he said the guy didn't know I had it worked on by other mechanics. I said he would've known if he HAD ASKED. I'm sure Universal Nissan staff is very helpful when you buy a new car. And as long as you trade in or sell your cars before they go over 100K miles, this won't affect you. But if not, this is the level of service you can expect from Universal Nissan. More
