Everything was great until three days I bought a brand new 2018 Nissan Versa, I was told with my car I will have gap insurance that I never received and I was not told that until I was sig I bought a brand new 2018 Nissan Versa, I was told with my car I will have gap insurance that I never received and I was not told that until I was signing the papers (I had to ask him at that) after I was told I would have the gap insurance!!! & It’s been three days of me having the brand new car I have yet to hear back from anyone about the gap insurance and when I tried to get a hold of someone I’m told that I will be called back just to hear from no one. I have a cosigner & when I checked my information ( I noticed this before I even left the dealership but I was told that that’s not true it’s just the way the papers came out ) Just to xxxxing find out my cosigner is the primary buyer and I am the cosigner it would’ve been nice to know that I bought someone else a brand new first car. This Dealership isn’t xxxx nothing different from rest. More
Universal Nissan Of Orlando are life savers I want to say honestly that our Honda CRV 2002 put us in the worst situation. Driving to Universal Nissan was the best thing my wife and I did all da I want to say honestly that our Honda CRV 2002 put us in the worst situation. Driving to Universal Nissan was the best thing my wife and I did all day. Even though I started to search options Sam and his team made every thing happen in our favorite. Honda engines in that CRV are not made good at all. I live in Windermere where I was hoping for a new starter ended up being another engine that I put in few years ago but not under warranty anymore. This is when after all options and saw our best deal Sam from Universal Nissan became our life savor. He did not know what he was about to deal with until we return from the test drive. Now keep in mind that I had to rent a car from Alamo next to Action Gator Tires that does an excellent job for Walt Disney Guests and Cast Members too. The Alamo was same color car we just got in the Nissan Rogue. Cant write more but We are very happy. More
A Great Experience I was in the market for a new car. I was not in the best situation with my current vehicle (2015 Civic, upside down by alot, high interest). I was not looking forward to getting the usual dealership run around, but my experience on June 13th was anything but. I noticed that the place was very clean (to me that's important), and the girls in the front were very nice and had someone come take care of me in a matter of minutes. That person was Keith Priestley. He was friendly and knowledgeable and made the whole experience less stressful. I kind of knew what kind of what I wanted so I only test drove 2 cars. He was very thorough in his explanations and helped me pick the right car for me and my situation. When it came to talking numbers, I was very doubtful that I was going to get what I needed and thought I would be shown the door, but Keith along with Bill in finance worked hard to get me the best deal. I was actually kind of shocked. I knew I came to the right place and that I was making the right choice. I never thought I would own any car besides a Honda. Nissan proved to be a great brand and I fell in love with the Altima. Please do not second guess Universal Nissan! they are the place to buy your next vehicle from! I will be a repeat customer for sure. Thanks Keith and Bill! More
Purposefully Misleading Personally I don’t recommend this dealership. The facilities are nice looking like many others but I feel like there were way too many inconsistencies Personally I don’t recommend this dealership. The facilities are nice looking like many others but I feel like there were way too many inconsistencies in what each staff member would tell you, some things felt purposefully deceitful to me. For instance, we’re working on financing for a vehicle and one guy tells the salesman to show me features in one to see if I like it. Well the guy takes me to the upgraded version to see those features meanwhile they are doing financing for a lesser vehicle. So you want me to sign and then surprise me later? Then when highlighting the differences, the salesman says “360 back up cam and Navi are the ONLY differences between these vehicles”, and then once you get the RIGHT vehicle home, you realize it lacks such basic features like Homelink which simply opens your garage door. Even my old car had that included. I told them that I don’t NEED a new car so if the monthly payments aren’t close to what I had, I’m not interested. So we finally go back and forth and settle on a price. (This is after already trying to leave, but the sales people keep your keys after the appraisal of your current vehicle so they can try to trap you into a sale. They have done this to me on two occasions). So the sales person throws down a few papers to sign which I am reading and signing and my significant other asks, “This includes the GAP insurance, right?” as my last vehicle payments from there did. The salesman quickly and quietly answers “No, someone will discuss with you” and then scuttles away so we didn’t have the opportunity to ask more questions. So now, I’m paying over $100/month more rather than what I thought. Next I’m with the finance guy and he’s selling the extended warranty. He hands me a paper with tons of tiny print and tells me I need platinum and everything else is “garbage”. Hmm. Okay. But I change my mind just a few hours later (AM) and it’s “too late”. The payment stays the same, the total is just taken off the end few months. He tells me that it’s good to have because he bought a Nissan Pathfinder there and the computer was bad after just a year. I ask, “Isn’t it a reasonable expectation that a car computer should last longer than a year? Wouldn’t that be a faulty vehicle?” Why does one need an extended warranty to deal with a faulty vehicle? Shouldn’t that be addressed if your car comes with bad parts that have given our long before their time? So back to me signing, I’m stupidly continuing on their word because I feel bad for the salesperson who used every test drive (3), and plenty of transport in between, to tell me about his crazy wife and terrible marriage, and two kids and I want him to get something. Maybe that’s his selling strategy and I fell for it? But the next morning, less than 12 hours later I call and tell them my vehicle does not have homelink and they said there was no other differences other than the 360 cam and navigation. One sales person said I could get my old car back on a previous sale. I asked if this was possible. They said no but that they could move me to the car with the tech package, obviously for more. The salesperson and one other man he puts me on the phone with tells me this is possible. I call and talk to the Finance guy about this. He said it’s impossible? Then the sales person will not respond to comment on it after saying this and will not tell me the name of the other person I had spoken with who told me the same. At this point, there have been several instances of inconsistencies with what I have and what I was promised, as well as what I was told from various people. I feel like you genuinely should only go in there if you have a tape or video recorder and a disclosure because people there really don’t seem to have a sense of accountability and will just say later “No, I don’t know why you were told that, that isn’t the case” but here people are signing legally binding contracts based on the incorrect information they are being given. It’s extremely concerning. I, of course, don’t hate the Rogue I got, I just think consumers would be best off purchasing elsewhere. Oh and one last thing for my fellow ladies— they’re out here boasting this nail salon but it is going to chip the moment you leave. More
