Cara, you asked if there was anything you could do to earn 5 stars and improve my experience. Here are three things you can do: 1) On your service app where I can track the progress of my vehicle, you have a category of "Check Tire Pressure". If you could change that category to have the mechanic input the tire pressure of each wheel, that would force the mechanic to check all four wheels which did not happen in my case. 2) In many tire pressure stations, they have the option to set the tire pressure to a predefined PSI such as 33 PSI. I am guessing Tynans has compressed air which forces the mechanic to potentially take 1, 2, or 3 readings per wheel which takes time. If you implemented a preset PSI gauge, perhaps that would be easier for the mechanic. 3) Be proactive and track down the root cause of my dissatisfaction. Did you check the paperwork submitted by the person at the service desk. I told him twice the tire pressure warning light was on. Did he put that in the comments section for the mechanic? Next, did you follow-up with the mechanic to see why that was not done. On the app, the mechanic stated the tire pressure was checked. Can they check the box without checking the tire pressure? Is this a training issue? How often are personnel trained and checked to make sure they are doing what they are supposed to be doing. The bottom line is when I found one thing was not done properly, I personally checked all of the fluid levels myself. Nissan is not the cheapest oil change around. I pay for it because I expect good service. When I have to follow-up and check the fluid levels myself because the tire pressure was not correct, I lose confidence. Now, I am paying a higher price for an oil change and checking your work. I am about to have the 90,000 mile check-up done on my vehicle. That will be a minimum of $1,600. I have had all of my service done at Tynan's Nissan for the last 10 years. Because of the lack of attention to detail on a simple oil change, I will take my car to another Nissan dealer. So, when the mechanic or customer service rep says what is the big deal about not checking the tire pressure even when the customer asked us to check it, how big of a deal is it? it is a $1,600 mistake.
