Once at the dealer, their "service consultant" informed me that they couldn't diagnose my AC on Saturdays, but they can do oil-change. He said I had to come back on a "week day". So why making the appointment for AC check if you only do oil change on Saturdays? Or is it because my Avalon is under warranty? Disappointed by poor service (or lack of). If you want to watch TV or have a subway sandwich inside dealership, then go to Tustin Toyota. If you need quality service, go elsewhere. More
Used Car Department - Sales Managers This experience was a huge disappointment. I purchased a car from this dealership in 2012 AND service ALL my Toyota and Lexus vehicles with them in t This experience was a huge disappointment. I purchased a car from this dealership in 2012 AND service ALL my Toyota and Lexus vehicles with them in the past five years. I was a patron of this dealership. I've purchased many cars through the years and have experience buying vehicles. I also worked in the auto industry as well. So I am not an ignorant, disgruntled "shopper" off the street. I am a buyer and don't like to waste mine or the dealerships time. This review is for the Sales Managers at the Used Car Dept. of Tustin Toyota. The salesperson (Lamont) was up front and easy going but average. The poor experience I received is from the Sales managers and their actions. I communicated online w Lamont and provided my info as well as the credit app so they know I'm serious and a good buyer. He provided estimate numbers contingent on the trade in appraisal of my vehicle. He said they could do the numbers I wanted pending the trade. I told the him, if the deal can be done AT or CLOSE TO my terms, I would come in to look at the car and take it home if everything looked good. Since he assured me the numbers would work (pending the trade appraisal), I came in prepared to buy the vehicle. He looked at my car and pulled my payoff. The payoff was higher than he expected so he asked me if I could stretch the finance term. I hesitated. Not because of the change in term but, because the car didn't have the options I thought it had. I told him I had to think about it. He didn't try to keep me there. He was okay with me leaving to think about it. The next day, I decided the missing options and the extended term weren't a deal breaker. I went back in and test drove the car. I liked it and decided to move forward. I sat down with Ricardo (Floor Manager) and he went over some details with me. He said they couldn't do the numbers unless I gave them a down payment, which I originally did not agree to. He also told me the term would have to be extended. Slowly this deal was being changed from what the original numbers were when I came in the day before, to what they wanted. At this point, I told Ricardo "no" and told him I will pass. He went back and forth a few times with the desk and tried to explain to me how financing works. I know all this. He also pulled out a card with a customers info on it and said "I have another buyer interested in this vehicle and can call them too". Or something along those lines. I noticed the info on his card was mine. I had contacted the my past salesperson (JT), prior to coming in and he said he could ask someone to help me. He apparently referred Ricardo to me but Ricardo did not know the "referral" and I were the same person. Ricardo ended up not doing the deal at the "agreed upon" terms and numbers from the day before. He told me if I put the down payment they wanted, they could do the deal. I told him I'd pass. An hour later, I received a call from Ricardo saying he got my info from JT and I told him I was just there. He didn't even know my name. The next day I contacted Lamont and asked him to see the numbers. I was ready to give in and put the down payment Ricardo asked for AND stretch the term. Lamont's response took me by surprise. He told me they couldn't do the deal. I told him that Ricardo said it could be done with the down payment he wanted. He said they made a mistake on the appraisal value of my vehicle and asked me if I can go with a higher payment. He said if I took the deal the day I was there, it would have been done!. This was only the day before. I did not receive a copy of the numbers AND I did not want to play these games anymore! The experience went from "we can do the deal" to "we can't do the deal" and wanting more money out of pocket, giving less for my trade in and stretching my term. What I got from this experience is, they (Used Car Dept) did not care that I was a return sales and service customer AND they did not want to honor the numbers they agreed to the day before EVEN after I gave in to their requests for more money out of pocket AND a longer term. The first thing I asked them was, to let me know if they could do the deal. They said YES. Reality: Nickle and Diming me AND not honoring the numbers we agreed upon the day before. I will not service any of my cars with Tustin Toyota anymore AND I will NOT buy a car from them. I took time out of my day to write this feedback so the dealerships and customers/future customers can see what I had to deal with when shopping at Tustin Toyota Used Cars. My buying experience (2012) with JT was great. I don't know what happened. I hope they treat their other current customers with more respect. More
Bad experience and regret my purchase. I regret my purchase and wish I had gone to Carmax or some other more reputable dealership with a better customer service track record in my area. Th I regret my purchase and wish I had gone to Carmax or some other more reputable dealership with a better customer service track record in my area. The salesman and Finance Manager I dealt with were not friendly and turn away any opportunity to negotiate a better price and stiffed me with a significantly high loan on a used car -- I could've just bought a new one instead. And after looking at my sales contract, I feel I got cheated and wish I had purchased the 2-day cancellation contract to return the car. The certified vehicle I bought supposedly came with a 7-year/100k warranty, but I was charged for it as well as other options that were offered as "better package" for the same monthly payment, which only ate up my down payment. I don't know what the definition of "certified" means to them, but the car had a noticeable abrasion on the front side of the car and lines of scraped paint on the bottom of the front bumper. If that is standard on most used vehicles, than my apologies for even mentioning it. Overall, I didn't have a good experience and still can't forget two things the Finance Manager told me: "What did you come here for?" and "What were you expecting?" after I tried to turn down their offer. I learned my lesson and only hope I have a better buying experience next time, but I am definitely never buying from Tustin Toyota again. More

I had a very good experience with Adrian Romero and Robert at Tustin Toyota. I went into Longo and Claremont Toyota looking for a 2014.5 Camry SE and came out with horrible experiences . Longo floor salesman could not even beat their own internet sales price. I also got online quotes through many dealership websites in so cal before discovering this dealership. I filled out a form and got pricing back from Adrian Romero from the internet fleet. I sent him a couple replies explaining our experience with Longo and Claremont and he basically gave me an OTD price a little bit lower than Longo and Claremont's best price. I called Adrian to let him know we're coming. We got there, and the receptionist paged Adrian. He met us and had us wait in the showroom while he went to go get the car. The dealership showroom is nice and modern. There's a nice lounge with a Keurig dispenser and snacks. There are many Toyota and Scion models in there for you to run around and jump into like at a carshow. Longo and Claremont does not even have a showroom. Anyway Adrian meets us out in the front with the Camry. We take a look at it. With only 6 miles, it's good. No need for a test drive because we have already done so at Longo and Claremont. The MSRP was a little bit more than Longo or Claremont's Camry so it ended up being a better deal for us. We head in to start the paperwork and he has the car washed and gas filled up. After credit check, we qualified for 0% apr for 60 months. We head to financing for Robert to finish up the paperwork. There was no pressure to purchase anything extra. They just have to offer/explain warranties so he's just doing his job. Everything was explained and we signed away. Thank you Adrian Romero and Robert for a quick and easy transaction. You guys are very professional and honored your price. A few days later I found out that there was a minor part missing from the pre delivery inspection and Adrian was able to get me the parts plus front license plate holder without me having to take the car in, saving time waiting for the service dept. Thanks again for the excellent service even after the sale. I suggest you know which model you want, shop around, and Adrian will do his best to beat that price. More

Adrian Romero was a pleasure to work with. He works in fleet sales. He tries to match competitor prices the best he can. Chris Thai is the finance manager. He's a good salesman. Very knowledgeable and fleet sales. He tries to match competitor prices the best he can. Chris Thai is the finance manager. He's a good salesman. Very knowledgeable and aggressive, but not overly pushy. I would recommend using their internet fleet department. You'll get better pricing here, but you'll still need to shop around other car dealers and compare pricing. When I first arrived here I worked with some of the sales people on the floor. They were nice, but their prices were ridiculous so I left and worked with their internet/fleet department instead. Overall I would say this dealership is professional. It is a large dealership and the atmosphere is comfortable. More
We had an amazing experience at Toyota of Tustin! Everyone was very helpful, friendly and accomodating. Loved Mike and his cousin from finance (great name but forgot). What brought us to Toyota of T Everyone was very helpful, friendly and accomodating. Loved Mike and his cousin from finance (great name but forgot). What brought us to Toyota of Tustin was from the poor service we experienced at Toyota of Orange. My mom bought a Prius V with cash. It did not have an owner's manual. Our salesperson said that he did not have one and that she could purchase one for $50!!! She just paid cash and he couldn't even give us a manual after we had already purchased 3 cars from that establishment. The guys at Tustin gave us one for free! It's the little things that will bring us back to Tustin. We are customers for life!!! More
