Easy first time car shopping experience. My husband and I were a little nervous walking into a car dealership as first time car shoppers. We were glad that we were helped by both John and Marcos. On our first visit, we were helped by John. We told him we were trying to narrow down our options and wanted to see different trims and specs of the Veloster. He answered all our questions and took the time to show us several NEW cars as well as a USED cars that were great alternatives. It was his warm personality that we decided we would return to Tustin OC if we decided on getting a Hyundai. The following weekend, John was out for the week so we were helped by Marcos. The hand off was seamless as John had already prepped Marcos on what we were looking for. After test driving the car, we sat down to look at the numbers and see if it was within our price range. The credit check revealed a lower credit score than I had expected and we were not able to get a lease option. Immediately, we lost hope thinking that we wouldn't be able to get a car. However, somehow we were able to finance a car for basically the same price as leasing. Marcos was patient while we were weighing out our options. We decided to go for it. The car needed to be transferred from another dealer, but Marcos gave us a time frame and kept us updated. We picked up the car the next day late at night. John went through all the features of the car and made sure we were happy. Throughout the whole process, we didn't feel pressured to buy additional warranties or add-ons. They were offered and Sheryl explained the benefits of the plans. We decided on gap insurance since our downpayment was low. One worry that I had about dealerships was that they would treat us differently based on our credit check and purchasing power. However, we weren't treated differently after we were denied leasing options and Marcos continued to dedicate his time to helping us. John has made a few follow up calls to make sure everything was well. Every staff member that we encountered was friendly and helpful. More
