The service department is an absolute joke, the two female manager and assistant managers should be fired because they are horrible at their jobs and scammers. They tried blaming something they did on me and charging me for it yet after proving them wrong and after a long fight it was fixed and of course they tried to get me to pay for it which I won. The work on the vehicle they did for me was so horrendous that I had to take my vehicle to Northtown Kia to be done correctly after speaking to corporate and filing a formal complaint. STAY AWAY. They NEVER answer your calls or return them. I literally would have to drive there to find out what was happening and as an experiment I pulled in the lot, called the service department and no answer. I then walked into the service department and there were 3 people sitting at their desks and just decided they didn't want to answer the phone! Absolutely horrid experience and because of the service I will never purchase a vehicle from them again. STAY AWAY! More
We leased a 2019 Kia Optima LX from Transit Towne Kia. When I took the car in for inspection, both front tires failed! The car literally had under 24,000 miles on it at that time. Also The rear brakes, pads and rotors no less, also need to be replaced! I don’t know of any vehicle that has had this much repair work needed at 24,000 miles! I am 56 years old and do not drive like some teenagers do, in fact I drive more like an older man. Transit Towne did nothing except to tell me that neither the tires nor the brakes nor the rotors were covered. While the staff were not rude, I feel as though there was no interest in helping a customer who most likely would’ve been a repeat customer had something been done. Even if there was some sort of discounted price for the brakes/tires, it would’ve helped. i’m sure Transit Towne Kia has no real interest in this sort of post but I hope it will help someone down the line consider who and where they buy /lease their vehicles from. More

They cleaned it off and said come pick it up. I pick up my Kia and before I can get home (25 miles away) the engine light comes back on. I call immediately and am told by service representative Maria Tucker to bring it back in 2 days for their next available appointment. So I get it home don’t drive it and wait 2 days to bring it back. I bring it back and wait 2 days before calling in to check on the status since I did not hear anything, Maria Tucker then let’s me know that it is a bad oxygen sensor and will be done within the next day or two. Two days later I call and I am told I can pick up my vehicle the following day. I pick up my Kia with it’s new oxygen sensor and within 24hrs 35-60 miles later the engine light comes back on. So I call Maria Tucker (service manager) back and let her know. She informs me the next appointment to bring it back in isn't untill 5 days from now. i said ok (Thinking why I’d have to wait at all since you have had the car twice in the same week). So I wait 5 days and bring my vehicle back in. Two days after Bringing it back to Kia for the 3rd time by appointment, I call In to get a status update Since I have not heard anything again. I am told that my engine light is still on and now it’s blinking they have to talk to engineers in California before they could proceed. I wait three days to call back in since I have not heard anything. They tell me the vehicle is still not diagnosed and I will just have to wait. Two more days and I hear nothing back so I call in again, To be told that it’s still not diagnosed but they are going to take apart my Cataylic converter. I simply ask how come out of all this time you have had my vehicle why am I not being notified? Maria became very defiant and blamed her work load as the issue and told me I will just have to wait. I explained waiting for my vehicle to be fixed and returned was not the issue. It was that I am not being informed and that I have been without my vehicle pretty much the entire month. Again Maria Tucker blamed her work load and said I’ll just have to wait. Being that I am fully covered by Kia and have a bumper to bumper extended warranty I asked about just getting a rental for the time being, quickly that was shot down and was told by Maria Tucker “we don’t cover any rentals of any kind even if I wanted to help you get into a rental it will be at least two weeks, no enterprise has cars available”. So I asked how it can be covered under my warranties, She then went to tell me “she will be putting me on a wait list for a rental vehicle but I can expect an additional 2 week wait for that rental because of the other 12 engines sitting in her lot that need to be replaced” I asked her if there is a possible way to talk to the store manager about my situation and she then says “I don’t see why talking to anyone else would matter they are just going to refer you back to me”. I took that statement insulting and unprofessional from someone that holds a “manager” position. But I’d like to ask the GM of the store if there was any courtesy given to its customers, exspecially ones that have been as patient enough to bring you back their vehicle 3 times within 2 weeks and are fully covered. I have now left a message with GM Robert Murdock in hopes of having a better relationship with this dealership. I have a full Kia warranty I have a full bumper to bumper extended warranty, my vehicle is a certified used Kia with only 55k miles. I have waited for their availability 3 different times I have given them 3 chances to fix my vehicle, I have been without any transportation for 23 of the past 30 days, I’m still paying my insurance and car payment as I wait for Maria Tucker to not be so backed up with her job to get back to me to tell me anything of some relief of this nightmare expierance at the transitions Kia dealership of Elma. More

On Thursday, 4/15, I had an appt at Kia for 4 new tires. Melissa Miller, Service Advisor, took care of me. Melissa was awesome. She was friendly, professional, and kept me in the loop re the status of my vehicle while I was waiting in the customer sitting area. The service department was very busy when I was there and Melissa kept a cool, professional and great attitude while handling her busy day. While waiting, Melissa informed me that I needed a back up bulb which was taken care of. She also went over the Multi-Point Inspection of my car and advised that other than the bulb, everything looked good. She discussed that my brakes were good although I did mentioned that I use to be a heavy breaker. So Melissa filled me in about how to properly brake upon approaching a stop sign or red light. I have to admit that Melissa is one of the most knowledgeable Service Advisors that I have come in contact with during the many years that I have been coming to Kia for service of my car. She displays such a caring and professional attitude, qualities that I do not see in many service advisors. I also witnessed how she treated 3 other customers who were also waiting in the customer sitting area. One gentleman mentioned to me how considerate Melissa was to him. I look forward to seeing her upon my next service date which will probably be for my Kia's oil change.
