One or less than star, salesman quotes me a price over the phone then again face to face standing in the lot, once the rest of the crack sales team get involved the price jumps 11k and the claim it’s beca the phone then again face to face standing in the lot, once the rest of the crack sales team get involved the price jumps 11k and the claim it’s because of the add on components the dealer put on. However the price sheet and web site clearly stated “all dealer add ons are included in price” total sham and baited me to get me on the lot. Avoid these guys like COVID they are not there to help you. Either totally clueless salesperson or they’ve been trained pretty go to lie. More
My parents bought a Mercedes SUV from Toyota of Tri-Cities and had nothing but good things to say about them after the initial purchase. Come to find out..... Within the first 2 months this car h Tri-Cities and had nothing but good things to say about them after the initial purchase. Come to find out..... Within the first 2 months this car had the only key stop responding to the the vehicle and it had to be towed. My parents were under the impression that they purchased a "Covers All" type of warranty and everything would be taken care of by Toyota in Kennewick. WRONG!! Out of Pocket cost for the Tow to McCurley Mercedes to have a new key programmed to the vehicle(Also out of pocket expense to McCurley for the key and programming). Not to mention the fact they did not have car for three weeks and they would not rent them a car. What happened to the warranty that was purchased, Toyota??? They were led to believe they had a warranty that covered most of the vehicle at a zero deductible. They find out after paperwork has been signed and their first problem occurs that they've got a $250 deductible and Toyota doesn't have the ability to work on the Mercedes because of its proprietary parts. WHAT WAS THE POINT OF SELLING THEM A WARRANTY TO A VEHICLE THAT CLAIM YOU DONT HAVE THE ABILITY TO REPAIR!! 2ND problem happens a couple of weeks after the key mishap. Check engine light comes on! Toyota once again, claims they can't scan the CEL or repair the vehicle and it'll have to be taken care of at McCurley Mercedes! ARE YOU KIDDING ME! Your saying your repair shop does not own an OBD-II scanner that has been in EVERY VEHICLE SINCE THE 90's! I SCANNED THE MERCEDES WITH A GENERIC OBD-II SCANNER THAT WAS PURCHASED FROM AMAZON! Turns out the secondary air flow is low and the fan/relay/fuse will need replaced. A small plastic fan at the front of the engine and on top of the engine. Easiest most accessible part on the entire vehicle and Toyota doesn't have the ability to fix this???????xxx, are these people talking about?? Long story short : Toyota dealership looks like a top notch facility from the outside and state-of-the-art interior but they are all full of the same ol" SHADY AF finance people that provide a false sense of security. Service manager is absolutely incompetent and does not seem qualified to be in that position and I would question whether they even have legit ASE certified technicians. Very disappointed in this dealership and most of the people that work there. Hard to find a dealership that has decent morals and Toyota of Tri-Cities, sure as xxxx doesn't have any class or have your best interest in mind. they'll say whatever they can to get your signature on that dotted line then you can suffer the consequences on your own ZERO SUPPORT AFTER SALE OF VEHICLE!! No haggle pricing on used vehicles is a joke Their "No Haggle" pricing on used vehicles is a joke! I went in to buy a used truck just to run around in when doing projects so I didn't want anythin Their "No Haggle" pricing on used vehicles is a joke! I went in to buy a used truck just to run around in when doing projects so I didn't want anything new. Found a good used truck but the price they were asking was $2,000 over KBB and Edmunds "Dealer Retail Price". I asked if they could explain how they arrived at their asking price because I couldn't find any data to support the price. They printed up the appraisal set by "their" appraiser and it was $1,000 LESS than their asking price. When I asked why they were asking $1,000 higher than the inflated appraisal price, they said we don't negotiate from our asking price. The truck had 2 electrical code issues, one window didn't work, prior accident on Carfax and there was current body damage yet their appraiser priced it as "Excellent" which only 3% of used vehicles qualify for because by definition the car has to be "Like New" with no repairs needed. By definition the truck fell under the "Good" category. I said I was going to make a cash offer and they quickly said they didn't even want hear it because "we don't negotiate from our set price". The salesman said "someone will eventually pay it even if it's higher than KBB or Edmunds Retail price". I would have at least expected them to hear my offer before sending me out the door. Very poor approach and sucks that they try to miss lead buyers by showing them an appraisal that is misrepresented. When I pointed out the "Excellent" rating was incorrect by definition the salesman said "that's how our appraisers do it and I can't change it". New or used, I will never buy from Tri-Cities Toyota again. I have purchased New cars there in the past but I'll make the drive elsewhere just for the customer service alone. Funny thing is, I liked the truck so I was going to offer them KBB retail. I just didn't want to pay over retail especially since they couldn't justify the price increase. With the recent Covid-19 issues, car sales are down and they still treated us like this. I guess they don't need the sales. More
