Stay Away From Runnemede Toyota We purchased a certified used Toyota Corolla for our daughter in 2009. The car had 17,000 miles a car that I consider to be practically new. My daughter drove it for awhile but kept complaining about hearing a noise. We brought it back to the service center at Runnemede and they looked at the car, drove the car a said there was nothing wrong with the car but we did need four new tires. We purchased the tires. Not a month or two later, the water pump fell off the car. My daughter was at the Jersey Shore so we took the car to Shore Toyota. The replaced the water pump that was covered under the extended warranty that we purchased. Three weeks later the entire engine needed to be replaced because of the over heating caused by the water pump that fell off. The engine was replaced and again covered under the warranty. Needless to say we were frustrated that a 4 year old supposedly certified vehicle purchased with only 17,000 miles now has a new water pump and new engine. Is this the quality of a Toyota. In April of this year, our daughter called us saying the car was making a terrible noise. She was away at college so we advised her to go to the nearest service center which happened to be a Pep Boys. They looked at the car and said your air conditioner compressor is shot. We said don't touch it, we have a warranty and will take it to a Toyota dealer. We took the car AGAIN to Runnemede, they looked at it and said the air conditioner is fine. They informed us that the freon was low and we should return it to Shore Toyota where the engine was installed. Runnemede said they would charge us to fill it with freon and it was about $150-200 dollars. We took the car to Shore Toyota and in 15 minutes the service technician said to us that the air conditioner compressor was broken. Ok, now I'm angry. I called the general manager at Runnemede to tell him this story and express our anger and frustrations. He was rude and then stated "How do you know that Shore Toyota isn't lying to you" How do I know... the air doesn't work and Pep Boys said the same thing. He also said that all the problems we have had with the car are mostly likely caused by the way my daughter is driving the car. The service manager Fran also talked to my husband and I and said there is no way they could have checked the air conditioner without putting freon in it. We brought the car to their service center for that very reason....to have the air conditioner checked. I have since been in contact with the cooperate office, I have reported Runnemede Toyota for their incompetence, the lemon they sold us and the rude manner in which they deal with their customers. They are giving Toyota a bad name. I urge anyone who has a Toyota or is thinking of buying a Toyota to STAY AWAY FROM RUNNEMEDE TOYOTA!! More

Even before I met him, I knew that he is so professional and a great guy by how promptly he gets back to me in all our communications. He wasn't pushy, he gave me enough time to decide and even after I already chose the car that I want, he told me about same car with less mileage which was even of a great deal to me. Hold on... not only that.. after my credit union car loan was approved and processed, couple of days after I went home with my new car and found out that I wasn't happy with my interest rate..... he then hooked me up with Jim, from their Finance Section, to get me a lower interest. Bill went ABOVE & BEYOND to satisfy and make me happy even two months later that I got my car... he still did not stopped helping me out on some of my car issues. He did not changed a bit which is not common in car dealers where it is normal to see a business oriented salesman that only give you special treatment when the first time you walk in to purchase a car. BILLY D. WAS REALLY REALLY AWESOME! I HAD THE BEST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE EVER!!! If I've known Bill before... I should have purchased my previous two new toyota cars from Toyota Runnemede. I've been telling all my friends now to buy their next car @ Toyota Runnemede and recommending "Billy D." He is the BEST!!! Thank you Toyota Runnemede, you really are a family oriented car dealer! NOT Customer friendly AT ALL I've been searching for used Toyota Avalon on line for more than a month, and finally found what I was looking for at Runnermede. The descrip I've been searching for used Toyota Avalon on line for more than a month, and finally found what I was looking for at Runnermede. The description on line said it had navagation system & it seemed to be fairly priced. I travelled 2 hours from Staten Island, NY ready to buy that car. The car did NOT have navagation, and they would not negotiate the price one penny! When I looked at the car, it was clean and seemed to be everything else that I wanted. Then I noticed that there were some deep gashes in the white paint on the passenger side mirror. It was sloppily touched up (probably by the previous owner) and I assumed that they would repaint the mirror appropriately. When I mentioned it to John he said that 'after all, it is a used car' and they would not fix it!! He said they would repaint it for me but it would cost me $200.00. There was no compromise, apology, or anything. After further questioning, he got up and spoke to the manager, came back & reiterated the same answer again. I could not believe that after presenting the car as having the navagation system (a $1000.00+ option) (which it did NOT) and not budgeing on the price, that now they were going to nickel & dime me over fixing the paint on the passenger mirror, which is the first thing a passenger would see getting in the car !! I was so aggrivated, that I walked out of the dealership an let the manager know I was not happy. They just all stood there and watched me walk out and did not say a word to me. After I left, I called a body shop to find out how much it would cost to have the mirror re-painted, and they told me ' well, you know we have to take it off the car, shield it, etc, bottom line-- it would cost $90.00 !!! I was completely disgusted with the situation I found myself in, and had I not been on so many wild goose chases, I would have just moved on to the next car on my list. After calming down and re-accessing my situation, I decided not to cut off my nose to spite my face, and went back into the dealership, and all of a sudden John came over to me and tried to 'make nice' . At this point he said he would order the paint & fix it himself and give me the remainder of the paint. I did buy the car. I don't know what the mirror will look like when I pick it up on Tuesday, April 15, but for $90.00 I'll take it to a body shop and have it fixed myself !!! The salesmen (and evidently the Manager too) in this dealership need some serious re-training in interpersonal and sales skills because their public relations is sadly lacking. (as a business owner, to let a $19,000.00 sale walk out of your store over a little bit of paint, is WAY BEYOND STUPID !!!) They probably still consider it a 'win' because I did buy the car. But I will NEVER MISS THE OPORTUNITY to tell anyone that I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND buying a car from the Runnemede dealership!!! (maybe the owner of this dealership should do an 'undercover boss' purchase at his own place of business --I don't think he would like it if his daughter, wife, or mother was treated this way.) More

Leasing my Toyota for three years was hassle free because I knew there wouldn't be any extra charges-ToyotaCare maintenance is awesome. Even turning it in was a lot easier than I thought. Jeff helped me get the car ready, so there would be no unexpected charges from the company after inspection. They actually sent me a check! I was afraid it would be a bill for the dings and overall damage from three years of driving it. More

If they can't meet your needs seriously save up before doing business with these people. Billy is nice, but don't forget he is a car dealer and just as sneaky as their reputations deem them to be. Tom Cirucci may just be the most unprofessional " professional " I have dealt with in any business. Lack of respect, lack of communication and lack of any human traits one would deem quality. If you are foolish enough to be roped in by these guys, be sure and have every single thing they tell you in writing and make sure your entire deal is a one document shot. It's difficult to write this review because I had mixed feelings about my visit. I went to "shop" and ended up purchasing a car. I do not recommend working with John. I do not care how much money on average you make when you sell a car or that you plan to make this a quarter million dollar a year profession, I especially disliked feeling threatened when I said that I could buy the same car on another lot for less and John said "and where are you going to take it to get serviced", I mean really what was he trying to imply? I did feel that I got a fair price, but only because the sales manager came to speak with me. Unfortunately my experience didn't remain positive for long, I noticed a small blemish on the front bumper and asked for it be repaired. I was told it just needed a clip added to the bumper so they put it on their "we owe you" sheet. It was "fixed" a few days later, but still not to my satisfaction. To date I have been told that's the best they can do and that I am being "unreasonable" and it's "all in my head". Not exactly the way I feel a customer who just spent $17k+ should be treated in my opinion. *Advice for purchasing at this dealership - do NOT WORK WITH JOHN ANDERSON, don't buy a car if there is ANYTHING at all that goes on your "we owe you sheet" they don't care.
