Had to take the pain to get a new filter from another store when my mechanic told me the filter is not right fit for my car. When I went to return the filter the parts department told me the one they gave me is the right one...Really BADDDDD....Know what you want exactly before you buy the parts from them. More

DAMAGED INTERIOR AND REFUSED TO MAKE REPAIRS I would never recommend Rice Toyota Collisions to anyone. I had the WORST experiences with this company. I took my vehicle in for hail damage and they I would never recommend Rice Toyota Collisions to anyone. I had the WORST experiences with this company. I took my vehicle in for hail damage and they tore up the interior of my car. I had to return my vehicle 3 times because repairs that was supposed to be made were not completed. The shop manager was very rude and unprofessional. He was angry that the repairs were not completed but directed his anger towards me. Instead of him apologizing and making things right, he raised his voice and said that there's nothing else I can do for you. More
Paid for work they didn't perform! We have taken all of our cars to Rice's for service. I was suspicious long before my husband, because every time we took our cars to Rice's, some unexpected 'problem' came up, and cost us hundreds of dollars. We are furious that we have been lied to and taken advantage of for years!! Rice's will charge you for service that you do not need and they did not perform!!! Took our 2007 Camry to Rice's 4-14-2014 for oil change/tire rotation. (This model has a Technical Bulletin out on it for excessively burning oil. They refuse to stand behind their defective product and want to charge US $2800 to fix it). On our visit that day they wanted to add the 120,000 mile service (for $315), we opted to wait. Clayton called later to say they found oil leaking around valves and oil pan, and that the battery was going bad. We have been suspicious of Rice's for awhile now, and chose not to have the repairs done, just oil change/tire rotation. Upon picking it up, we drove directly to another automotive shop to have it checked out. They found no leaks and the battery was fine!! Also, they took an oil sample, and it turned out Rice's had either NEVER changed the oil or put used dirty oil in our car. Plus, the air filter was filthy - so filthy, the mechanic took a picture of it to show us!! We had him change the oil, even though we just paid Rice's $52 to change it the day before! He also told us that for $2800, Rice's was only going to put a band-aid on the oil issue, NOT fix it like they claimed! We called the Service Manager who denied any wrong doing and refused to refund our money. He did offer to 'do the service' again, but seeing as they didn't do it in the first place and we had it done right somewhere else, we said no. We will no longer be lied to and cheated by Rice Toyota Service or sales people. Their service advisers are friendly to your face, as they lie and cheat you with a smile. Don't be fooled, they will try to charge you for repairs that don't need done and service they haven't performed!! More
I know Rice treats all their customers well, but they make me feel like I'm a VIP customer. I get phone calls returned, greetings when I arrive at the dealership and consideration about my needs. This make me feel like I'm a VIP customer. I get phone calls returned, greetings when I arrive at the dealership and consideration about my needs. This last time and unscheduled replacement of my water pump was needed which would continue into late hours and a ride was arranged for me home by David and Brock. The ride with Cameron was very comfortable as to his driving and his company. I live far from the dealership and that was not even a consideration as they would take me wherever I needed to go. Later in the evening Mitch called me to inform me the car was repaired and they kept it overnight until I was able to pick it up in the morning. Brock made arrangements for me to leave our Prius in a parking space so we could get to some time sensitive jobs and later return to retrieve our Prius. Going to Rice Toyota is not only for service, but it couples as a visit and i enjoy my visits. And, oh boys, GO PATRIOTS! Jim O'Malley More
Rice Collision Center did an TERRIBLE job on my car!! The GM Mary wants to blame EVERYONE else except her people for not fixing the car correctly and she lied to me about getting me into another car and maki GM Mary wants to blame EVERYONE else except her people for not fixing the car correctly and she lied to me about getting me into another car and making the situation right. I have a detailed review on YELP and Mary responded by not taking responsibility again. Here is my response: Mary, Thank you for your response to my review. So let's get this right..it is my insurance company's fault that Rice Collision Center did a TERRIBLE job on my repairs and I have had to take the car back SIX times to have the work that had already been paid for to be done correctly? Also, it is the fault of the professionals that installed my DVD players a YEAR ago that my airbag harness was pulled apart a month ago when Rice mechanics were the only ones that had touched the car in the past year? Is this correct? So tell me, whose fault is it that my Extended Service Warranty that I purchased with the car was cancelled without my knowledge and without a refund being issued? Maybe the tooth fairy did that. If you are really sorry, stop giving lip service and actually do something to fix these issues. Since you cancelled my warranty without my knowledge or permission and then stole my money..fix that..like right now today..if you are truly sorry.. RICE TOYOTA (Mary) WILL LIE, CHEAT, and STEAL from you!! There are too many Toyota dealerships in the area not to be valued as a customer. I just spoke to a former employee of Rice that now works for another dealership and they stated they had purchased 8 cars from Rice until MARY CURRY took over. They quit and will not purchase another car from the dealership. That speaks volumes to me. I know there are wonderful employees that mean well that work for Rice but management doesn't seem to care about the customers or the employees from what I have experienced and hearing. My advice..Cox Toyota and Modern Toyota will treat you right! More
Complete cat fish situation!!!! Advertised a Corolla on the web site for "Under $10,000 Deal" When you got to the lot , the car was $15,900 and the explanation was given that the car ad was wrong. Refused the web site for "Under $10,000 Deal" When you got to the lot , the car was $15,900 and the explanation was given that the car ad was wrong. Refused to honor the ad at all. When notified this was illegal, they stated they had no idea what to do about it but the price was wrong. Crooked arrogant neanderthals More
After speaking with John Michael about repairing my Corolla's rear bumper,I made an appointment & took my car to Greensboro.I live in Danville,so had to get a freiend to follow me & bring me home.My ne Corolla's rear bumper,I made an appointment & took my car to Greensboro.I live in Danville,so had to get a freiend to follow me & bring me home.My neighbors donkeys chewed the rear bumper & it needed to be replaced.Took the car on Monday 9/24/12 & picked it up today 9/27/12.They replaced the rear bumper. When I got there today I looked at the bumper & it was not put on right, rough edges & gaps on the left side & rough edge & wide gap on entire right side.Pointed this out to John Micheal & he seemed to realize they had done a lousy job of repair. He said he would go get Alan who was in charge of body shop.He looked at it & we all agreed it wasn't done right. They agreed to correct the problem & so I said I'd bring it Monday 10/1/12.After they agreed to fix the bumper I paid for the repairs & left.I live in Va.so it's very inconvenient trying to get there & leave the car.My friend was kind enough to follow me over & bring me back to pick up my car today.I was very upset that the car had not been repaired correctly, but when they agreed to correct it & give me a car to drive I was satisfied & went & paid the bill. When we were looking at the car the sun was on the front end & the rear was shaded. The paint job they did looked ok,so I left. When I stopped & got out of the car & looked at the rear bumper in sunlight it was obvious that the rear bumper was several shades lighter than the rest of the car.Could not call since it was after 6pm.I am furious! Will call John Michael Friday & advise him I want this car fixed right.I also will have a stop payment on the check I wrote until I'm satisfied the repair is done correctly.I was so happy with my experience at Rice until today & will never recommend it to anyone. There is no excuse for the lack of competient service from the collision dept & my car will be repaired correctly. On 8/7/2012 I took my 2007 Toyota Highlander Hybrid to Rice Toyota for its 65000 mile service (oil change/tire rotation). The work was done satisfactorily but when the representative gave me the bill he t Rice Toyota for its 65000 mile service (oil change/tire rotation). The work was done satisfactorily but when the representative gave me the bill he told me that they had discovered that the water pump was "visibly leaking" and that it was also leaking on the timing belt. Because it was under extended warranty he the $750.93 bill would only cost me $283.67 to replace the pump and timing chain. When I asked if it should be replaced immediately he said no, it could wait but it needed to be done. I decided to wait but came away with a feeling that it was a danger to me if I didn't do something soon. Well, I didn't drive the car much until I could get another opinion. The car had been bought at Modern Toyota and was only at Rice because of convenience. It had had its 60000 service done at Modern as well as every service since we bought the car new. I called the service manager at Modern, James Flippin, and told him that I had a major problem with the car identified by another dealer's service department but I wouldn't tell him what it was. He agreed to check the car over at no cost and did that on 9/7/ 2012. He and a mechanic went over the whole car and told me about some dry rot on the tires, a tiny transmission leak and a small discoloration on the water pump. His conclusion after all that and the mechanic driving the car: no safety problems. He said the transmission leak did not yet warrant action, they'd watch it and let me know. So, it appears Rice was reaching out to do work that didn't need to be done. Mr.Flippin even gave me a copy of the Toyota service recommendations, complete with color pictures, of water pump leaks and what they meant. The one on my car was entirely normal, according to Toyota. So watch out for Rice Toyota's service department. That kind of stuff costs car owner's a lot of money, needlessly spent, and contributes to the poor reputation some dealer's service departments have. I know I'll never go to Rice for any service work again. I won't buy a car from them either. (note: I'm going to make this a multiple website posting. I don't want others to trust this dealership.) After putting a down payment on a new car the dealership sold the car the same day to someone else. Sales Manager did not apologize until I personally asked him to do so. They were able to get us another sold the car the same day to someone else. Sales Manager did not apologize until I personally asked him to do so. They were able to get us another car the following day. We spent 2 hours filling out paperwork and waiting for them to get the car washed and detailed, we eventually got our new car. However, the following day we were told they put the wrong VIN number on our paperwork and we had to resign paperwork again. This time when we went in to resign paperwork, nobody apologized or showed any concern for their error. They acted as if we were creating an inconvenience for them. We left without a word spoken to us. Very bad impression of the entire dealership and car buying process. We actually had to go to the dealership 4 times for them to get everything correct. We had purchased from Rice Toyota in the past but this will be the last time. More
