We carefully looked over the description and any accessories the car had. After the test drive it seemed a good fit then came the invoice with an 'add on' fee for a dealer installed anti-theft device for an additional $2900!!!!! We asked where was it noted this was an accessory with this car and where was it noted on the ad this large amount would be added to the price. It isn't there. The anti-theft devices are for the dealer's benefit and to pass the price on to customers at a highly inflated rate is pure added profit without benefits to the customer who not only doesn't want it but also are not informed it is there until after wasting the customer's time. In addition on their website you can click a link to receive a $50 gift certificate after test driving a car. We had that coupon and gave to the sales person to validate at time of visit. We clearly test drove the car we were going to purchase but we did not ever receive the promised gift certificate. Another deception apparently. We did find a better deal elsewhere, although an anti-theft device was on the next car we looked at, the price was $800 compared to the crazy pricing at Vic Vaughan, the dealer we eventually bought from simply removed the device and no additional charges were included in our final price. Caution light came on yesterday, service dept told me over the phone that after looking at my. VIN, to come in with appointment and dealership would cover diagnostic and repair (I purchased my car there). Next day arrived for my appt and was told it would not be covered, and they were "24 hrs behind on diagnostics". I drove an hour away to bring my new car to them based on the information they gave me and was told they wouldn't even look at it today. So heed the warning..... I tried again and without fail have been given misleading or false information. Not someone I would trust my new car with. More
This dealership drives me nuts. If it weren't the closest by far, I would go elsewhere. I may yet do so. My first service visit, i was snookered into a front end realignment on a vehicle with less than four thousand miles, driven only on state highways. I realized later that I should have pushed for this to be a warranty service, but did not. I have since received texts or phone calls five to six times weekly badgering me about my next service visit or offering a trade for my vehicle, a more desirable V8 Tundra compared to the new models, which have been prone to mechanical issues and have no V8 option. This is pestering like I have never seen before. My most recent service visit was no better. I had an appointment and was at the check in line 20 minutes early. Appointments were clearly overbooked. I didn't see a service advisor for 25 minutes and the work, an oil change and systems check, took 40 minutes longer than projected. The truck was out on the lot for at least 20 minutes before I was called to check out. I couldn't find my debit card right away, and the service advisor was pushing me to just use a regular credit card, resulting in a 3% surcharge. That was ten days ago. I have since received four phone calls and three texts asking me to review their dealership. Well here it is - I'm sure it's not what they were hoping for. More
Mark did a great job helping me find the car I wanted. Was patient, not pushy. I was expecting to have a hard time with going in but he made it a great experience buying my car. 🙌🏻🙌🏻 Was patient, not pushy. Completely deflated my opinion of Toyota. I had a conversation and a final price before I went to the dealer to pay. I do not finance and do not like spending hours sitting and waiting. I get I had a conversation and a final price before I went to the dealer to pay. I do not finance and do not like spending hours sitting and waiting. I get there and the price is not what was agreed on. It took going back and forth at least three times and “Playing with numbers” to get the price where I was told it would be. Also there was a subscription included for a product I did not want and will not use but I was not given the option to opt out, I was not told it was a subscription just a safety feature on the vehicle. Now 15 days later the molding is coming off the passenger side door and I cannot get in touch with anyone to get it fixed. I get paid by the hour so it is a loss of wages to just drive the 35 minutes and try to wait. Worst experience I have had at a dealership and other then Warranty work, will not be going back. The sales representative I worked with was very nice but he was passed off to me once I got there and did not have any previous knowledge of what had transpired with the Internet Manager. I want to point out that I have to put his name here but do not want to push the issue off on him, he was a middle man and did his best. This seems to be a cultural thing with Toyota. More
The service rep (Roland) did an excellent job (5 stars). He was honest about the maintenance required for this periodic check and helped me get the loaner so I could make it back for a work meeting. He ev He was honest about the maintenance required for this periodic check and helped me get the loaner so I could make it back for a work meeting. He even got me a car wash after maintenance was done. However, the above is a rating for the Dealership overall, not just the SR. And, there are a few low to no cost efforts that could notch this rating from above average to excellent. Many of the maintenance costs (like oil changes, battery replacement, etc.) are significantly higher than your competitors and there is no real reason for the difference. As a contracts management professional, I recommend you have someone like me on your staff (at least part time) to periodically conduct a comparative analysis of your competitors' costs and adjust your costs accordingly. This business practice would likely result in your getting more business. Even if you don't get as much profit for each service, you'd make money by getting more customers. Next, when my vehicle was ready for pick up, I was advised by someone other than the SR that s/he must drive it into the bay for the transfer so you'd have a video record. Unfortunately, there are other vehicles therein that await service and I had to wait a few minutes for them to move so I could leave. A low cost solution would be to point a camera to the curb adjacent to where one turns in to the bay entry so vehicle owners can merely pull away from the curb and drive off when ready. Lastly, the loaner I received could be not be fueled with regular unleaded and finding a pump is not easy or convenient. If you're going to potentially charge customers for not refueling them upon return, at least have more unleaded fuel loaners available instead of these odd ones. More
