I spent days coordinating with someone who claimed to be a sales agent, confirming availability and pricing on Textbook bait-and-switch operation. I spent days coordinating with someone who claimed to be a sales agent, confirming availability and pricing on a specific new Corolla LE. Less than an hour before driving 45 minutes out to Boerne during rush-hour traffic, I called to confirm the car was physically on the lot and ready. When I arrived, the vehicle did not exist on their lot. The person I had been speaking with was nowhere to be found (classic BDC rep masquerading as a sales agent). Even worse, the car had reportedly been unavailable for days—yet Toyota of Boerne actively kept the listing and pricing live on their website, which is a direct violation of Texas vehicle advertising regulations regarding phantom inventory. To cap it off: Financing misrepresentation: The promotional 0% for 72 months financing that had been confirmed in writing before my arrival was abruptly retracted. Mandatory junk fees: When discussing alternative inventory, they pushed several non-negotiable dealer add-on fees and refused to budge—including a mandatory "Toyota of Boerne Care" package that is essentially standard ToyotaCare rebranded at an inflated cost. This store relies on outdated, old-school dealership tricks: get the customer on the lot under false pretenses, waste their evening, and try to wear them down into bad numbers. Save yourself the drive up I-10 and take your business to a dealership in San Antonio that actually respects your time and operates with basic transparency. More
