While I’m happy with both cars, the buying experiences couldn’t have been more different. 🚗 Tesla San Antonio – Seamless & Respectful Tesla San Antonio made the entire process transparent, pressure-free, and centered on long-term satisfaction. I felt genuinely respected from beginning to end. Special thanks to Veronica, the Tesla supervisor. Her care toward my mother stood out—she gave us her personal number and answered questions even while off duty (we didn’t know at the time). We came in for a used Model Y, but she helped us get into a new 2025 model instead, making sure we understood the latest self-driving features, which were important for my mom’s safety. Delivery felt like a celebration: the car was spotless, waiting with a big bow, and they took a photo of my mom to capture the moment. We were also given the option to take the car home for three days before finalizing. That kind of confidence and customer-first approach was refreshing. Tesla’s team focuses on building relationships, not just closing sales. I left feeling informed, valued, and genuinely appreciated. They've absolutely earned my loyalty. 🚙 Toyota of Boerne – Outdated & Disappointing While I love the Tundra itself, my experience at Toyota of Boerne was stressful and felt like stepping back in time to old-school sales pressure. My primary sales consultant, Keven, constantly sidestepped clear questions about the bottom-line price and trade-in value. He brought in other staff mid-conversation, which added confusion instead of clarity. When my blood sugar dropped into the low 40s, I said I needed to grab food—Keven discouraged me from leaving to "stay focused" on the deal. That’s unacceptable. Maya and Brian were the bright spots—kind, professional, and respectful. Unfortunately, the overall dealership environment overshadowed their efforts. 💸 Trade-In & Pricing I traded in a 2019 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport. Market value was $28k–$30k. CarMax offered $22,500. Toyota of Boerne’s first offer? Just $17k—until I showed proof from CarMax. Tesla, meanwhile, was upfront. They told me their trade-in wouldn’t be competitive and encouraged me to look elsewhere. That honesty was appreciated. The Tundra was listed at $47k, but nearly $9k in extra options weren’t disclosed until the final signing. That felt disingenuous. Tesla, in contrast, walked me through every cost and discount up front—no surprises. 👥 Customer Service Comparison Tesla: • No pressure • Clear, transparent communication • Encouraged thoughtful decision-making • Excellent follow-up • Treated my mom with care • Delivery with a personal touch (photo & bow) Toyota of Boerne: • High-pressure tactics • Vague answers to direct questions • Zero follow-up after sale • Prioritized closing the deal over my health • No help with simple requests (like moving my bike rack) 🕰️ Time & Convenience Tesla respected my time—car ready as promised, walkthrough included, and delivery felt like a big moment. At Toyota of Boerne, I scheduled a lunchtime test drive—the truck wasn’t ready. On pickup, they just pulled the truck next to my old one, slapped on paper plates, and handed me the keys. No help, no celebration, no interest. 😊 Final Thoughts Tesla left me feeling confident and respected. Toyota of Boerne left me with a good truck—but a bad taste. First impressions matter. Car buying is a big investment—emotionally and financially. Tesla gets that. Toyota of Boerne, sadly, missed the mark. More
