Complaint: Overcharging on Vehicle Purchase Date of Purchase: September 24, 2022 Vehicle: 2020 Toyota Corolla LE Dealership: Toyota of Boerne Details of Complaint: On September 24, 2022, my dau Purchase: September 24, 2022 Vehicle: 2020 Toyota Corolla LE Dealership: Toyota of Boerne Details of Complaint: On September 24, 2022, my daughter purchased a 2020 Toyota Corolla LE from Toyota of Boerne. The MSRP was $25,000, but the purchase price was $22,804. At the time of the purchase, our bank valued the vehicle at $18,400 with 52,434 miles. The dealership added unnecessary warranties, GAP insurance, and other additions, raising the total amount financed to $32,345.83, with the total payment amount (including interest) being $41,995. As of today, my daughter has paid off a balance of approximately $25,000, and the car now has about 85,000 miles. The bank currently values the vehicle at $13,475, showing a significant depreciation in value. The discrepancy between the bank’s original valuation and the overcharged sale price at the time of purchase has placed us in a financial bind, leaving us upside down on the vehicle with little hope of recovering the full value. Interaction with Toyota of Boerne: On July 31, 2024, I received a phone call from Toyota of Boerne's General Manager, Chris Franklin, to discuss the situation. During the conversation, he was extremely unprofessional, hostile, and refused to offer any assistance. He made irrelevant comparisons and stated that the purchase was made during COVID in 2022, as if that justified the overcharge. When I mentioned that I would reach out to the Better Business Bureau, small claims court, and an attorney, he sarcastically responded, saying that their attorney would handle it and abruptly hung up on me. This behavior was unacceptable. Request for Resolution: I am requesting a fair resolution to this situation, which includes reviewing the overcharged vehicle price, unnecessary warranties and GAP insurance, and addressing the financial burden this has caused my daughter. We would like to return the vehicle and seek financial reconciliation. Additionally, we believe that other potential buyers should be made aware of these questionable practices. This was our daughters first time as an "adult" purchasing her own vehicle. Isaac Scheafer our salesperson was very accommodating and attentive to what our daughter wanted/style color etc. We ta purchasing her own vehicle. We never felt pressured or overwhelmed during the process and she got the car of her dreams!! This is not the first time working with Toyota of Boerne, nor driving a Toyota. Will be back!! More
1 star rating is too high after my recent experience. It's more like a spectacular F-. Took my '06 Tacoma in after I noticed gas gauge malfunctioning and loss of gas mileage on recent trip. Service advisor Adrian Salinas took my information and advised approximate wait time 24-48 hours just to get the truck to diagnostics. Maybe that was my hint to take it elsewhere, but Toyota of Boerne was closest dealership and I didn't want to risk further damage. Communication was sparse, incomplete and unprofessional. I had to leave multiple messages to find out status. Adrian did call back only to whine about how busy it was and that he was getting chewed out by his manager. Information about the parts that had to be ordered and the technician that had to be bought in to handle the fuel pump replacement came as afterthoughts after truck had been sitting for 3 days. Advised estimated completion time came and went. Adrian finally calls at 1p to advise work not completed but he would call me back "in an hour and a half". No surprise at all when I didn't hear back the rest of the day or the next morning. It took two more calls to the dealership and then I got a text from a personal phone that my truck was ready for pickup. Again no surprise at all to get to the dealership 15 minutes later and Adrian is nowhere to be found. Shop guy got the paperwork/keys from Adrian's empty office and then a service manager came over to get an address and quickly left. Someone else came in to print the invoice/complete payment. Guy who washed the truck came in to tell me where it was parked. No one ever went over the repair work. Busy day so no one was available or interested in making sure the truck was fixed. I crossed my fingers, hoped my truck was fixed and that I hadn't just been charged $1015.88 for a repair that didn't even happen at all. 100 miles later and I realize it was indeed NOT fixed. Gas gauge still malfunctioning and still losing gas mileage. Called dealership to speak with any service advisor but had to leave a message. Adrian called back but he just hung up without saying a single word. I then called dealership switchboard to try to speak with someone in customer service only to be told by the operator that it was "just soooo busy and could I call back Monday?" Tired of this dealership's nonsense, so I said I'd call back when I was busy. Cleared some time in my busy Monday morning in hopes of getting some help and called dealership switchboard at 920am. Customer Service Mgr Nellie Pantanini was not available so operator took basic info about complaint and said she would send an email and then transferred me to voicemail where I left a message. Now over 2 full workdays later, I have yet to get so much as a missed call, text or email in spam folder ... anything that indicates that my experience is not par for the course at Toyota of Boerne. Also spoke with Service Manager Miles Iles about issues with repair. Mentioned that I live in Houston and I didn't want to have to drive back to Boerne for another repair attempt. He advised there was a sister dealership that I could go to, but no information given on if I would be paying out of pocket for another diagnostic and/or repair. Left a message for Miles on his voicemail and haven't heard back from him either. I expect it to be busy at any car dealership, but I don't expect to be completely ignored and left feeling like no work at all was actually done on my truck. Be warned .. stay far, far, far away from this joke of a dealership. Take your new/used car needs or service needs anywhere else. More

I purchased my 2023 Camry and the purchase experience was great. But the service turns out to be something else. I added on to my purchased vehicle the added protection plan to cover tires, windshield etc. O great. But the service turns out to be something else. I added on to my purchased vehicle the added protection plan to cover tires, windshield etc. On July 15th I took my car to the dealership because front right tire kept losing air and I told the technician I was having to add air 3 times in the previous 2 weeks. He said they looked at it (all of 10 minutes) and found nothing wrong and sent me on my way without doing anything. A few days later I had a family emergency and drove up to Dallas. Low and behold I got a flat on the highway from that exact same tire. I was able to make it to a nearby discount tire in Arlington who found not one but two nails in that tire. I ask you, how does a professional dealership miss not one but 2 nails. Discount tire was kind enough to get me through, patched up the tire and back on the highway. Needless to say being stuck on the side of the highway, lone female in 100 degree weather doesn't feel great. I'm paying the extra protection for Vic Vaughn to provide good service as promised only to have this happen is totally unsatisfactory. It was hard enough to have a deal with an emotional family matter, then to have this happen, especially when I'm always proactive about taking care of my vehicle so as to not have horrible situations like this happen. More
