I purchased a 2012 Highlander from Bay Ridge Toyota. I contacted multiple area dealers to request a quote for the same speciications and Bay Ridge was the first dealer to hit the price I wanted to pay (ev contacted multiple area dealers to request a quote for the same speciications and Bay Ridge was the first dealer to hit the price I wanted to pay (eventually two more dealers agreed to match the price, so I held those as a back-up). I wanted to pre-negotiate every aspect of the deal over email, but it became clear to me in the process that dealers are not very comfortable providing precise quotes over email. Eventually I got a firm quote from Anthony Nespoli over the phone and agreed a date and time to pick up the car. A couple of days before the agreed date, I called to check which exact vehicle from their inventory I was getting, so I could put the VIN on my insurance ahead of time. Anthony spoke to me and gave me a specific car that I was going to get. The price increased by $150 at that time since he appeared unaware that I also wanted factory-installed cross bars. I wasn't going to break the deal over $150 and I showed up for the agreed appointment on a Saturday morning. I was there at 9:30 am and out the dealership by 11:30 with my new car. Since all important details were pre-agreed (price was set, knew the VIN, paid in cash, already had insurance), I only had to deal with a new'ish salesman who showed me the car, drove me to the bank to pick up a certified check and generally ushered me around the dealership to complete the process. I declined insurance from the on-site Allstate agent and declined the extended warranty options offered by the Finance Manager George Vakkou. George was also great to work with and did not give me an overly aggressive sell on warranties or extra insurance. Everyone was courteous and helpful and I drove off happy in my new Highlander. Pros: great price, stuck to their word when I showed up in person, and didn't try to give me a hard sell on extras I didn't need. Cons: Email communications are not necessarily in sync with conversations and emails you are already having. For example, I got a 30-day follow-up email from the Internet Sales Manager even after I had already bought the car. I understand that email is just a way to get people in the door, but the dealership would get a 5.0 in my book if they were able to start and finish a deal via email. More
It was a great experience punchesing a Toyota Camry from Islam. He kept me encouraged the whole time I was in the Dealership. Him and Mark got me approved with the credit I have. I've have had a very hard time getting a loan from other loan companies. Due to a minor credit standing. I went to serveral other auto dealers and wasn't very happy with the outcome. At BayRidge Toyota I was treatment so well from my first phone call. I was greeted by Yomaira their receptionist, she was so sweet. I explained my past experience and she clearly told me not to worry. She stated " 90% of our customers drive off our lot in their new vehicle". When I arrived @ the dealership I was treated as if I was already approved. The environment was so postive, I felt like I was with my friends. ISLAM was my dealer...He is the best, he was so postive knowing that I was worried. He took very good care of me, gave me his attention until the end. I would recommend all of my family and friends to him. He never let me get discourage one time, which helped a great deal. Alex was from the insurance department he was great as well. He made sure that I got the best rate regarding coverage. Mark was wonderful he helped to seal the deal with the loan company. I purchased a 2006 Chrysler Pacifica FULLY LOADED...I'm so happy and the price was unbelieveable. You will be so happy with BayRigde Toyota, Call today and ask for Islam and leave in style. Let me say first of all that I have always dreaded auto dealrships and have in the past tried to avoid them at all costs. However anytime I am in need of a new car I WILL go only to Bay Ridge Toyota. I live in Baldwin, Long Island but I will not hesitate to make the journey out towards Bay Ridge right past the numerous auto dealers in my area. I have been dealing with Bay Ridge Toyota personally for the past three years. The first time I leased my car, and just recently I bought the car in an LBO. Let me tell you that I am 100% satisfied with my experience at Bay Ridge toyota. The staff is extremely accomodating and friendly. They really add a personal touch to the experience that you will be hard pressed to find anywhere else. Be-it Sales or the finance department, they work to put your own interest ahead of theirs. I am especially grateful for George the finance manager who listened to what I had to say, understood my situation, and worked with me to get the best deal possible. Hear me when I say that with him its not just about business, he seems to have a very sincere concern and appreciation for his customers and will go to bat for them everytime. Its refreshing not to be looked upon as just a number, but for someone to see the human and logical side of your situation and work with you as much as he can. I can honestly say that if it were not for him I would not have the car that I wanted because I know for a fact that I would not have found this level of service anywhere else. I recently purchased a "Pre-Owned" auto from this dealership which was supposed to have been quality "certified" but has had a number of issues which tell me the car was not quality certified. I purchased the car and within a week had to replace the brake pads. The car has problems stopping as the calipers are not evenly distributing the braking pressure. The transmission oil was black and smells burnt as opposed to a bright cherry red which it's supposed to be but is not and the unit is shifting hard and on occasion slips. I was left stranded with 3 young kids on a dark stretch of highway because a bad battery left me unable to start my car. The car had 3 Mis-Matched tires which were so badly damaged that I had to replace all 4. The bumpers were given a fresh coat of paint to cover up some under-lying issues and after a week the paint started chipping away. Many other issues with this car I wish I could upload photos and receipts to prove the validity of my statements but I can't so please stay away from this dealer. More

This was by far the best experience i have had in buying a car. My salesperson Raza was an amazing guy. He helped me out with the price,color, and equipment.
