The new girl at the first station of the service dept. was very rude. It seemed like I was "bothering" her when I brought my car in for service. When I went to pick it up, I assumed she had my keys. When I asked her, she rudely answered if they're not here, I don't have them. The fellow next to her had them - he was okay but very unexperienced. Each one of them NEED training and drilled into their heads that my money is their "paycheck". I did customer service work most of my career. If not a forev er customer, I would try elsewhere. I understand other customers are trying the New London Toyota for service. More
I called to make an appointment for a transmission fluid flush & oil change. They were able to get me in that afternoon. I was taken on time & the service was completed in about an hour. I was quoted a price of $169 for the transmission fluid service on the phone & when I arrived they told me that it was actually $220. Without even having to ask they honored the price I was given on the phone. I was shocked & quite pleased. I bought my corolla there & have always received excellent service. thank you! More
As a long time Toyota owner relatively new to the area, I began looking for a Toyota replacement for one of my vehicles about three years ago. In that time, I've been meeting sales people at Toyota stores within a 30-mile radius, one store at a time as my schedule allowed. I believe that when making a capital purchase, the way one is treated at sales time is indicative of the treatment they will receive after any sale. Till now, in every case, making a major purchase given the way I had been treated at local Toyota dealerships was an unacceptable proposition. Experiences gave me no faith in either the short, or long-term results of any of my purchase attempts. In April of this year, I visited Colchester Toyota, working with Mark Guimond and Bob Stillman, and members of the management team. The experience was completely different, and the level of professionalism a cut above. Really, is it so difficult for two parties to be respectful during tough negotiations? (rhet.) Not being so certainly won't lead to satisfaction on either party's part - regardless of the outcome. Toyota of Colchester's handling of my inquiry led to my purchasing a Tacoma, which I'll enjoy going about my chores. They impressed with a longer term perspective that went beyond the date of sale. It also led to my finding a "home" dealership for both of my Toyota's, and they've earned "first right of refusal" for my future business as well. Great experience, kudos to the folks at Colchester Toyota! More
It was inconvenient, given how far away I live, to drop off the car for service. I had trouble figuring out where to go since the setup of the Service department has changed since my last visit. I had my car serviced (60,000 mile service). Shortly after I left, my tire pressure warning light came on. Knowing that tire pressure check and fill is part of the service, I was surprised. I checked my tires, which are clearly marked to be inflated to a max pressure of 44 PSI, and they were at 32. On top of that, the tires (which should have been rotated as part of the service), were not rotated. I wonder what else they missed? I called the same day and left a message for my service advisor to call the next day. No phone call. Though this dealer has been good to me in the past, this experience of no call back and service paid for but not performed is NOT acceptable. More
The service was professional and timely, and as usual they did an excellent job. My one concern is that I had made arrangements several days prior to come down from Boston for the oil change and some war they did an excellent job. It was when I got there that I was told that they would replace the fan "if they had one in stock." Fortunately, they did. I would have been very upset if I had come all that way, especially after confirming the appointment, and not gotten the warranty portion of the work done. However, everyone was very courteous, professional, and the truck runs as well as the day I bought it. More
