Charging an additional $600 when buying leased vehicle My 84 year old mother went in to purchase the vehicle she leased for 2 years. Toyota Ford of Greenfield added on an extra $600 to the purchase price My 84 year old mother went in to purchase the vehicle she leased for 2 years. Toyota Ford of Greenfield added on an extra $600 to the purchase price of the vehicle. They said it was in her signed agreement that if she were to purchase at the end of the lease, she'd have to pay the $600. It wasn't in the agreement we read over. We called Toyota Headquarters and just purchased the vehicle from them. We saved the dishonest $600 charge and also saved on the additional fees since we just did the registration ourselves. The men in the "glass offices" just stayed behind their computers and looked out at us (my mother and me), but wouldn't even return a smile. They had the young worker go back and forth between us & had him deliver the message that we'd have to pay the extra $600 to purchase the leased vehicle (after making us sit and wait a ridiculous amount of time). He was also told to try to get us in a new leased vehicle which we said countless times we weren't interested. More

The time we spent there was fun. Crazy, because normally buying a car from a dealership can get you pretty anxious.
