We had a great experience at Tony Honda buying our 2013 Honda CRV EX. Our sales person, Tracie Komori, was very positive, friendly and made us feel comfortable and we would definitely recommend her to our Honda CRV EX. Our sales person, Tracie Komori, was very positive, friendly and made us feel comfortable and we would definitely recommend her to our family and friends if they are in the market to buy a car. We will also come back when we are ready to upgrade our Honda Pilot. The sales process and financing was very fast and easy and we got to drive off with our car in no time. I am very happy with my purchase and I got exactly what I wanted. Thanks to Tracie for making it so easy for us. Aloha, Janet and Bob Kawabe More

After shopping for a new car for over a year, buying a car from Tony Honda was the most enjoyable experience we have ever had. We were referred by a friend that had recently bought a car from Tony Honda. car from Tony Honda was the most enjoyable experience we have ever had. We were referred by a friend that had recently bought a car from Tony Honda. For us, the process started via emails to discuss options and pricing with Moi Mabalot. We didn't want to waste our time going all the way down to the dealership unless we felt we could find the exact car we wanted for the price we wanted. We had already visited the other Honda dealerships and test driven the car so we knew exactly what we wanted. After just a couple of emails with Moi, we agreed on the pricing and scheduled time to go to Tony Honda. There we met Hai Nguyen who showed us the car and went thru all the paper work with us. We were so happy with the price and there was no haggling or any surprises when we signed all the documents. Hai was so friendly and easy to work with and he patiently showed us all the features of our new car. We forgot something at the dealership and Hai drove all the way to our home to bring it to us. What service! The whole process was quick and painless - amazing! It was refreshing to work with a dealership that valued our time and didn't play any games. We will refer all our friends to Tony Honda! More
When we first got to the dealership on 04/27/13, Val from Tony Hyundai helped us. He was very nice and friendly and took us on a test drive with the first car that piqued my interest, which was a Sentra. A Tony Hyundai helped us. He was very nice and friendly and took us on a test drive with the first car that piqued my interest, which was a Sentra. After the drive, I crossed it off my list because it felt too big. Then we were interested in a Honda Fit so Val informed us that we would have to go through the Honda associates for further assistance. My fiance spoke to the Honda Manager to ensure Val would get some credit for the sale of whatever car we purchase and we were assured he will. Val turned us over to his friend, Elmo, and Elmo helped answer some questions. I had to decide between color so we let Elmo know we'd be back. We returned to the dealership on 04/29/13 but Elmo wasn't working. Another associate, Hai, called Elmo to let him know we were here and said he'd take care of us because he and Elmo are partners. Hai seemed very friendly - OVERLY friendly in a fake way, in retrospect - and took us on a test drive with the Fit. When I finally decided on color, Hai had Tracie go look for the specific car in the lower lot. I honestly didn't care for how he spoke to Tracie. He sounded bossy and dismissed anything she said. Up until now, Hai had continuously talked about how he's going to take care of us and he "promises" he's going to make us happy, etc. When negotiation time rolled around, Tracie was there again to assist and Hai continued to speak to her like she was beneath him. I didn't say anything because I assumed Tracie was a trainee (later turns out she was not) and maybe that is why he was speaking to her that way. In the middle of negotiations, Hai had another client so he kind of popped in back and forth while Tracie did the grunt work and heavy lifting of dealing with the negotiation. At the point where it seemed we weren't going to get the car for the price my fiance felt comfortable with, Hai seemed to disappear. He didn't say bye. He didn't say Tracie will be taking over the deal. Nothing. He just looked at the negotiation paper, made a face, and was gone. Tracie stuck through with us and did the best to get us what we wanted. While the price was still a little over my fiance's comfort zone, she was able to get us something extra and we settled for that. She seemed genuinely friendly and even called us the next day just to see how things were going with the vehicle. We asked if she was able to let Val know we made the purchase and to thank him and she said she did. My fiance also told her that he wants to make sure Hai doesn't get any credit for the sale because he bailed on us without a word. She let us know that, because he handed the sale off to her when he had another customer, his name is not on the sale. He also let her know I didn't like the way Hai talked to her AT ALL. We greatly appreciated Val and Tracie's customer service. If we purchase another car, we will definitely see Tracie. More
Danny serviced my Civic since it hit 100,000 mi +. While it was not noticed at first, when the mechanic worked on my car, he noticed that the front brake pads were low, and recommended replacing them, and D it was not noticed at first, when the mechanic worked on my car, he noticed that the front brake pads were low, and recommended replacing them, and Danny let me know. Danny also made sure my car would be ready the same day, even with late pick up, and I was able to get my car later that day (good thing, because my car is the only one the baby can ride in). The very next day, I was driving with the baby near the bus terminal downtown, when a car ran the red light, causing the driver in front of me to slam his brakes, and forcing me to slam on mine. If the brake pads had not been noticed, my daughter and I would have been sandwiched between 2 cars (the one in back of me had to slam down as well) in what would have been a 4-car accident. Thank you, Danny, and thank you to the mechanic who worked on my car -- you saved us. More

extremely friendly: Pat Nakamura; Mike Demello and Tracie Komori, they all made us feel welcome and they were not "pushy" , helpful and personable ("talk story" atmosphere kept it friendly and most im Tracie Komori, they all made us feel welcome and they were not "pushy" , helpful and personable ("talk story" atmosphere kept it friendly and most importantly sincere) this is out 4th purchase from Tony Honda and one of the main reason we keep coming back is because of the great and friendly service we receive from Wade Szameitat: he has always remembered our names from the purchase of our first car and when ever we come in for service and of course the quality of Honda cars keeps us coming back More
My Honda Civic 2002 was 11 yrs old so I was looking for another Honda automobile. I went in several times to see the cars but no sales person seemed interested in making a sale. No one helped me unless I another Honda automobile. I went in several times to see the cars but no sales person seemed interested in making a sale. No one helped me unless I asked for help. I got good results going online and talking to Mr. Demello. He was very polite and helpful. I got to think about what I wanted and I finally decided to come in and test drive the car. The female sales woman who was in front was very accommodating and nice. She was very knowledgeable about the car model I chose. Mr. Demello also helped to show me how to use the technology in the car. He set up my iPhone 5 for me so that I could have access to bluetooth. The on-line connection did it for me. He was the best on-line sales person. I also got an e-mail for an internet special for the car model I was interested in. That drew me in and I became a more serious buyer. What closed the deal for me was the blue color that just arrived. I owned a Honda CRX and had that car for 15 years. I am overjoyed that Honda kept the line and created the CRZ. I just love my car. Overall my experience was outstanding. The only negative thing is that the girl who sold the accessories needs to improve her sales skills. She seemed very awkward and inexperienced. She needs to practice more and have better training from her supervisor. More
I did my homework on pricing for my new Pilot EX-L and for the trade-in of my Camry Hybrid. I approached all three dealerships on Oahu, and received courteous and prompt service from all three. However, T for the trade-in of my Camry Hybrid. I approached all three dealerships on Oahu, and received courteous and prompt service from all three. However, Tony Honda met my price while the other two were between $2k and $4k higher overall. Iven Cunanan was exceptionally good to deal with. I think it helped that I had sent Tony Honda (and all the other dealerships) a fairly detailed email about what I was trying to accomplish. In my email, I was careful to properly describe the condition of my trade-in car, which had a couple of dings in it. When Iven called me back, he said something like "If the car is as you describe it, we have a deal at your numbers." I asked him I could come down, write a check, and drive home in my new car, and he said yes. I asked him to get the detailing started on the new car so I wouldn't have to wait for a long time in the dealership. The dealership experience was very good. I arrived around 4pm, and Iven arranged for my trade-in car to be inspected quickly. Once the condition was confirmed, he came back and said "yup, let's do this." We filled in a few forms, and I wrote a check for the difference. Colleen sat with me for a few minutes asking if I wanted to buy accessories such as floor mats. It's hard to do that these days, when Honda OEM mats are available online with free shipping for 40% less money. Still, it is very convenient to buy at the dealership and have everything "right now". But for me, I chose to not buy accessories at that time. Anyway, after meeting with Marco Gonzales who helped me sign the last couple of forms, I was ready to go home at 5:45pm. There was even a full tank of gasoline in my Pilot. Total time spent at the dealership: 1h45m. Total saved by going with Tony Honda: A couple of thousand, perhaps a bit more. Would I buy from Iven and Tony Honda again? Based on this experience: You bet! Any gripes? I live in East Honolulu, so I'd love to see a Tony Honda service center open up on the East side. Without that, it might turn out to be hard for me to bring the vehicle back for regular maintenance when another dealership is significantly closer to my house. Servco Toyota has a service center in Kaimuki. I'd love to see that from Tony Honda. Other than that, no gripes whatsoever. Two thumbs up from me. More
