Fooling Around My father and I went into Tony Honda and had exact idea of what car he wanted and told the sales person Naurene upfront that we were serious about buy My father and I went into Tony Honda and had exact idea of what car he wanted and told the sales person Naurene upfront that we were serious about buying the Clarity and that we did not want to fool around with the standard negotiating auto dealership practice. She was very pleasant and we sat down to discuss the cost, we made an offer and said if she could hit that price we were ready to buy the car. She left to talk to her manager and another gentleman came to talk to us, he said he could try to get $35,900 approved, our offer was $35,000. He advised that he could go down to $35,700 but we needed to meet him a part of the way. We could not come to an agreement so left. I later called Naurene and she advised that $35,700 was not a realistic sale price and that they could only offer us full MSRP, $37,490 + fees and that the offer that the gentleman made was just to negotiate and was not a real price. We also went to Windward Honda and i would give them a 4 star because the sales person was honest from the start and told us he could not do better than MSRP, I wish it was a better offer but at least they did not play fool games and waste our time. More
