I recently purchased a 2016 Nissan Quest from the Tucson Thoroughbred Nissan dealer; it was a certified used vehicle which was supposed to have been thoroughly checked out to be sure there was nothing wrong Thoroughbred Nissan dealer; it was a certified used vehicle which was supposed to have been thoroughly checked out to be sure there was nothing wrong with it. I worked with Eric Encinas the Internet sales manager throughout the negotiations of this vehicle which I did finally purchase. However, they tried to attach many items to the price like tinted windows which the van comes with originally, window etched VIN# and other things. Be careful when buying from these guys, they add these things on their own then try to get you to pay for them. Through negotiations we were able to overcome most of this nonsense. However, when I drove the van home on the highway it had a severe vibration at highway speeds. Since I live 70 miles from Tucson, I took the van to a local tire shop to have the tire balance checked and discovered that the balance was ok but three of the tires were not round which was causing the high-speed vibration. I informed Eric of this and he attempted to have the issue resolved and set me up with the service department. I worked with Caleb Page the Service Manager and explained to him the issue with the tires and told him I would like to have the tires replaced. He said his techs would check it out. He came back and said they couldn’t find anything wrong with the tires but rebalanced them. At this point I was very irritated because I knew the tires were the problem and expressed this to him, but he decided they new more then me and did not replace them. I am very versed in auto mechanics and build and restore custom cars so for him to think they know more about these things is an insult. When I drove the van back home the vibration was still there which is what I expected. I called Erick back the next day and told him they did not take care of this and he told me he would see what he could do and would call me back, he never did. I would Thoroughbred Nissan to replace the tires on this van with a better-quality tire. I would not buy another vehicle from these guys, go to Jim Click, he will always make sure any issue is taken care of. More
I visited 6 dealers comparing like sized new cars, and found only one of those dealers (and their salesman Eric) to be efficient and aggressive with the pricing; giving us their best price right away, and found only one of those dealers (and their salesman Eric) to be efficient and aggressive with the pricing; giving us their best price right away, and it was a better price by far in comparison to the other dealers. I would highly recommend this dealer and will look forward to buying more cars there in the future. More
I didnt really know what I wanted, needed a new car! Love the Altima but found a used SUV for dirt road fun in the desert. Tim was accommodating, letting me discover w no pressure! I have had my Nissan serviced 5 or 6 times at this dealership. In the past I have never been completely happy with the service. While the car was still under warranty I asked them to look into a rat dealership. In the past I have never been completely happy with the service. While the car was still under warranty I asked them to look into a rattle in the rear trunk area. They kept denying that there was any rattle so I just decided to give up. During all of these visits, however, they were always trying to push parts or service that I did not need. The car had only about 30,000 miles and they were telling me I needed new tires. I asked them to stop all the "up selling" and they got upset. Today I went in for a simple oil change and tire rotation. The rear tires are in good condition and the front tires need to be replaced in about a year or so but have plenty of tread-wear left. The service technician refused to rotate my tires and said they needed to be replaced. They gave me some big story about "Nissan Policy". I went to both the sales manager and the general manager to discuss this. They continued with the same line. I then went to a local repair shop and they laughed and said that Thoroughbred was just trying to sell me some new tires. The local shop changed my oil and rotated my tires with no problem. I don't trust Thoroughbred Nissan. They always want to sell me something that I don't need, as was the case today. Finally, when I tried to resolve this with the "General Manager" I was told that they did not want my business and to not come back. My opinion is that they seem like a bunch of con-artists and when they get caught then they get defensive. I Don't trust them. More
