My wife and I bought a Used Mazda 3 hatchback from this dealership on Sept. 9 2022. On the sales side of things, I had no issues at all with Joe Parra. He did an excellent job and was very communicative with everything and I highly recommend you work with him. Heck, everything was going really smoothly and pleasantly until I got to the financing part. For that, the gentleman who helped my wife and I was Eddie Huerta. The issues came when it came time to locking in my desired APR with the lenders. Eddie was able to get our desired APR from a lender and I signed the little paper that says "yes I'll buy if that rate sticks." Afterwards, my wife and I sat in Eddie's office getting ready to sign off on all the paperwork. About halfway through the finance process, Eddie presented to us that our vehicle that we wanted to purchase needed to have GAP insurance on it before it was sold to us at the agreed APR that the lender presented. I was taken off guard since I had never heard of this before after buying a number of used cars from dealerships myself and so I asked Eddie for clarification. I said to Eddie, "if I don't buy this $1200 GAP insurance then the lender won't approve me for that APR is that correct?" to which he said Yes to. After a few seconds of confusion, my wife and I decided to just go for it since we had spent quite a bit of time already at the dealership and we wanted to give our sales person the sale. After the sale, I went and called my lender and asked them to clarify if that they required me to buy the Gap ins as I was told by Eddie, in order for them to approve me the APR. The lender replied that GAP ins is optional and was NOT required for me to have to guarantee the APR. I went to the dealership again and spoke to the sales manager, Hardy Patel. Mr. Patel was very insistent on not trying to understand what happened and kept beating around the bush regarding my issue. Eventually, I was able to speak with Eddie about a week after the sale and I brought up what he had said regarding the GAP INS and to my expectation he starts retracting back what he said to my wife and I on our initial meeting regarding the GAP INS Requirement. He reiterates that of course it was optional and was never required but my issues comes with the fact that he falsely said in front of my wife and I that it WAS required for us to buy (additional $1200) in order for the lender to give us our rate. That experience left a bad taste in my mouth on how far dealers/finance managers try to eke out extra profits from vehicle sales from customers trapped in the finance department. Overall: Sales experience was great. However, the Finance Dept. fell short on being honest. More

Joe was great and the dealership is awesome. However, George the financial person needs to do a better job of going over the financial paper of the transaction. He did not go over the exact total price of the car or details of all the fees, etc. I had to ask and inquire about all the above. He also tried to add a plan that cover wear and tear on my vehicle and only told me it covers “any” extra I would have to pay for abnormal/normal repair(hole in seat, worn tires, etc.). He told me how much would increase my loan but not the total and when I reviewed the paperwork when asked to sign it I notice it only covered up to $1000 but the price was $1300. I said that crazy why would you try and sale me that, and he said you don’t have to get it and ripped up the papers. I almost started to stop and cancel my transaction. I think that is a shady business practice and he/Honda she be upfront and explain in detail the financial aspect, especially is I am purchasing/leasing a $45,000 car. UNACCEPTABLE!!!!! And I would like to speak to someone so I can explain my experience. Thank you Joe for your great customer service and car buying experience. More
