First, It's great being back with Ford, my wife and I traded our Sebring Convertible for a new Escape. It was our choice to by a new vehicle from a Company that did not take the bail out from the taxpaye traded our Sebring Convertible for a new Escape. The total experience from meeting Chis Curry the first day while just looking and throughout the process of actually purchasing the vehicle was great. It's a great feeling when buying a vehicle that the sales person and everyone involved are courteous, respectful, and just plain genuine people. That has been hard to find in today's world. We found a great quality of personnel at this dealership as we made our rounds on the tour after our purchase. As stressful as it can be to by a new vehicle, my wife and I are so pleased with everyone we encountered with the purchase. Best thing I can say, I have 2 Fords in my driveway, an F150 and now the Escape, it will be hard to look elsewhere for another vehicle when the time comes to replace one. The local dealerships in Bel Air, Maryland were not helpful. The first dealership (which I purchased my last car, a 2011 Ford Fusion SEL) did not locate a car or call us back after visiting my salesman. The second dealership was ready to sell my son a car without offering him all the rebates available and with a whopping discount of 1.4% off MSRP. In fact they were ready to write up an order without even telling us the price. Not surprising, this same dealership tried in 1985 to sell me a GT Mustang with added charges in the price for items that came as standard equipment. I went online and located the Ford Focus that my son wanted on Frederick Motor Company's website. I called and asked to speak to new car sales. Grant Schley answered the call and was able to confirm the sale price, rebates, and availability of the car. I told Grant we wanted to buy the car and would be there to purchase in a couple hours. He had the car cleaned and parked in the front of the building. When we got there we were greeted by friendly sales staff. Grant made us feel welcome and was very knowledgeable about all aspects of the car. We went through the pricing and all was as explained over the phone. There was no funny business. Grant asked if we minded if the finance manager could see if he could get us a better rate than the 2.5% State Farm pre-approved us for. He was able to get us 1.64%. Grant went into detail on the Sync system so that my son would get the most use out of it's features. He took his time and even showed us the service shop and service manager. My 19yr old saw both ends of the car buying spectrum that day. How not to operate (Bel Air dealers) and how to operate (Frederick Motor Co.). It was a pleasant experience from start to finish dealing with Grant Schley and his co-workers. Even though this dealership is 1 hour and 20 minutes from my house I will be sure to give them the opportunity to earn our business again. More
I am a 39 year old man and have purchased approximately 10 new cars in my life. Having said that; this was my best purchase experience and my sales rep. Chris was in tune with what I wanted, patient when I test drove 5 different vehicles, and made sure I was going to be happy with my purchase. Rick was a great salesman. He dealt very patiently with my inability to come to a quick decision (buyer's remorse is my worst nightmare) and answered any questions I have directly and succinctly. Customer Service: Within minutes of arriving and looking at our soon-to-be new car, we were greeted first by Chris (Eyler?) who was soon diverted by a manger. This was by no means a problem because he was replaced at the same moment by Rick Kleinota who stayed with us for the rest of the sale - even though he and we were under the impression that Chris would return. This was real customer service; given the fact that initially he would not get the sale, he helped us anyway as if it was his sale. As it happens, he stayed with us for the rest of the morning and throughout the entirety of the sale. He was extremely knowledgeable, he was able to answer every question, and most importantly he treated my wife and I with dignity and respect from the first meeting to the test drive and even during the traditionally uncomfortable 'numbers' portion. Perhaps my favorite point in our experience with Rick was when we were all finished and going through the delivery procedure and he told my wife and I that when we bought the car, he (Rick) came with it. He then proceeded to share all of his contact information with us down to his home phone and told us to call him any time day or night if we ever have any issues, questions, or concerns and he would make every effort to take or return our call- and I believe him when he told us to do so. Rick was by far the best and most sincere person I have ever dealt with when buying a car and I will continue to buy form him as long as he is selling cars. He is a treasure to the Frederick Motor Company. Quality of Work: Excellent, this was the fastest car buying experience I have ever encountered. There were absolutely no mistakes in the paperwork or any misspellings of my excessively long name (a rare occurrence on lengthy contractual documentation). The detailing prior to delivery was excellent and very timely. Friendliness: Everyone I dealt with including Chris, Rick, and the finance manager (who's name escapes me) were very friendly and treated us like we were family. Overall Experience: Hands-down the best car buying experience to date. Price: The lowest price available on a 2013 Mustang GT Premium within 500 miles of my home. Additionally, when I presented Rick with a discrepancy in price between the internet and the hang-tag, he did not hesitate to clear the lower of the two prices through management. The lower price we found was honored without question or attitude. Thank you and Great job, Rick!!! We look forward to our next auto purchase!!! More
This is the second year in a row that we have purchased a vehicle with Frederick Motor Company. Both times, we worked with Rick, who was absolutely outstanding! In 2012, we did an inquiry online and had an answer within 30 minutes. Rick met with us when it was convenient for us based on our commuter schedule. He was extremely knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. There was no pressure to buy a vehicle, which was refreshing! He laid out all of our finance options, gave his personal opinion, which was best for us and not necessarily wheeling and dealing to make the most money for the company. When we made the decision to buy, he went over all of the details of the vehicle and explained everything. At the very end, Rick gave us his personal number in case any questions came up or we had any issues. I had never seen that kind of customer service, especially from a car dealership. Typically, once they have the sale, you never hear from them again. In 2013, when we identified the need for another vehicle, there was no question where we would buy from. This time around, we had a similar experience. If we buy a vehicle next year (God forbid!), we would go to Frederick Motor Company, hands down. For as long as we live in this area, Frederick Motor Company will be the only dealership to get our business. We would recommend this dealership, and especially Rick, to anyone - friends, family and strangers, alike. More
