After test driving several cars at many different dealerships, I am so thankful to have made the call to this dealership. John Goldsmith was most professional, honest, fair and helpful. We negotiated a deal quickly over the phone and John kept me informed daily until my car was ready (they had to order and install a few accessories). When I arrived to pick up my car, several other employees introduced themselves and offered any assistance needed. The four hour drive to this dealership was well worth it. John called to make sure I returned home safely and has since called to ask if I had any further questions or needs regarding the car. I have no doubt that every future car purchase I make will be with Subaru of Wichita. More

Purchase of 2014 Subaru Forester I have been looking for a vehicle for about a month. I have visited five dealerships in the Wichita area. Needless to say I did not buy a vehicle at I have been looking for a vehicle for about a month. I have visited five dealerships in the Wichita area. Needless to say I did not buy a vehicle at any of them until I visited Subaru of Wichita. My first encounter was with Jesse James Powers. He approached my wife and myself and introduced himself. I was kind of surprised that there were not several sales people standing around waiting to attack. Jesse’s pleasant demeanor put me at ease quickly. He explained that the salesmen were not commission based and we looked at a 2014 Subaru Forester. Not having researched the car he answered all of my questions. His knowledge of the vehicle amazed me. You see some of the sales people I had dealt with at the other dealers barely knew the make of the car they were trying to sell . Jesse also apologized for the construction when we went into the showroom. He offered refreshments and made sure we were seated away from all of the commotion. This allowed our conversation to be private, more relaxed and friendly. After some initial numbers were discussed Jesse brought John Muir into the conversation. John was pleasant to deal with and I feel he worked in the best interest of the customer and the dealership. At the other dealers I felt they had their own bottom line at interest and not the customer. The next day Pete Williams presented us with all the paper work. The forms were completed and Pete explained what each form was and why it needed to be signed. He too answered all of my questions. All the legalese can be daunting to one that doesn’t deal with it often. But Pete was patient with my questions. Once all was signed and the keys were exchanged Jesse set-up the hands free Bluetooth and downloaded my contact list to the vehicle. He introduced us to Trish and Kyle. Both were very helpful and seemed genuinely happy to work at Subaru of Wichita. Without a doubt this has been the best car buying experience I have EVER had. Overall, I had a great experience purchasing our car from Subaru of Wichita. Travis was a wonderful representative for the dealership and did not apply any undue pressure or antics that have discouraged me Subaru of Wichita. I appreciate the way that the dealership worked with me on price (even though everyone always wishes that they could get it for less). The only reason why I marked the quality of work down to 4 is that after getting the car home, I noticed that there was a bubble in the sidewall of one of the tires that I had not previously seen. I didn't complain too much about it to Travis since I had mentioned that the tread condition on the tires was pretty poor and it was one of the reasons that I got a lower price on the vehicle. Also, Travis did get it arranged for me to have a new tire that I supplied mounted and balanced for free. After looking at the pictures of the car that the dealer had put on the internet, I realized that there are two pictures that show the sidewall bubble if you realize that it is there. No dealership should send a car out to the public with a tire in that condition and it should have been replaced before being put out to sale. Again, a great experience overall and I really like the car. Travis was great and I will definitely talk to him again when I'm looking for another car. Lance got us a great rate on financing and was easy to work with. Finally, the reason why we came to look there in the first place was the brilliant management of the situation with the idiotic union people. Kudos to Subaru of Wichita for that. More
